There are healthy and unhealthy rivalries. The former invigorate the hell out of any matchup and make it that much more fun. The latter are fricking toxic and can actually take the fun out of things.

What I don't get is why a lot of the LSU posters try to emulate tsip frickery.
You have a better football history in everything except total wins
Your basketball history makes theirs look like ours
Your baseball history makes them look like a tball squad

Wolfhound45, you know I adore you and consider you a friend and spiritual guide.
But you aren’t going to like my post.
And I probably wouldn’t make it if I wasn’t several vodkas into the Astros getting thumped by the Yanks tonight.
But you’re a highly intelligent man and a tribute to your university.
Of course there are other LSU grads who show similar characteristics.
But there are many who are ... more rustic.
I’m not judging them by their education or upbringing, because a man is who he is, based on the way he treats others—that’s what matters.
But there appears to be a much higher element of coarse, provincial LSU fans than what we have at our university.
Our fans tend to be graduates; whereas y’all have many ”followers.”
I think that leads to a torch and pitchfork crowd that becomes a tad fervent.
But that’s the gig that makes folks love Mardi Gras.
And Death Valley at night.
And the Louisiana vibe overall.
It’s intense at times, but it is what it is.

Case in point, prior to the Longhorn Network, they had made a Regional 44 straight years. Since it launched, they've missed the tournament 4 times.
LSU hasn't had a losing season since 1999, but emulates a team that has had 4 losing seasons out of the last 9?
LSU has won 3 conference titles since the sips last tied for one and has made the Sweet 16 twice and Final Four once since the last time the sips made it out of the opening weekend.
