You want to get this thread back on track? Holy frick, you talk about our fans being at up with envy.

There isn’t a program or fanbase in America that would take Orgeron over Fisher. Orgeron’s model for success isn’t sustainable.

Anyone can win 9 games at LSU. They have too much natural talent at their disposal not to. He’ll never be a complete failure there, he’ll just always de dependent on circumstance.

I'd go a step further as to say that they were right that Miles should have been fired. Only winning 8 games at LSU with all the advantages built in is like winning 5 games at A&M.

I would think it absurd to assume that Orgeron hasn’t grown and developed as a coach himself

Per his own words he defers week to week game planning to his assistants. He’s a recruiter, a motivator and a solid position coach.

I agree, 8 wins is an abysmal failure at LSU and should always put you on the hot seat.

OP is a huge fgt, but yea, O's success is always going to depend on coordinator hires and QB recruiting. We'll always recruit well and be stacked at the skill/db spots (even in the Miles offense years) with speed on defense and big guys to develop up front, but Aranda and Brady won't be here forever. I hope we beat the shite out of OM and arky so we can get a look at Brennan.

I do give him credit for turning things around after the disastrous start to 2017. The culture is as good as it's been in years, i feel like the UGA game last year kind of brought Tiger Stadium "back." It's fricking hard to win championships, especially coming out of this league. Sometimes you just got to ride these kind of seasons.

I mean they were this way even before you guys embarrassed them last year.

Not sure what constitutes "embarrassing", but getting a last-second reprieve from the refs on a game-ending interception, followed by a record- setting SEVEN overtime loss in your opponent's stadium doesn't seem to qualify.

That said, what IS a good example of"embarrassing" is the string of defeats LSU handed the Aggies prior to that game going back to the Cotton bowl.

Or, maybe, beating a perennial powerhouse rival in THEIR stadium in a game where you never lost the lead?

Try harder...

No. I don't know a lot of LSU fans well but those I do know just dislike aTm with all their hearts. They think aTm is foolish for hiring Jimbo and are happy as can be that he has not yet produced a top tier program. It doesn't matter that Jimbo has only recruited one and a half classes given he did what he could when he arrived in late 2017/2018. More than anything else LSU hates Alabama and that monkey is off their backs now. We should give them credit for this year. They have been pretty spectacular and given they control the show in Louisiana they will continue with strong recruiting. I fear they will curb stomp aTm later this year and I hope Jimbo prepares the team for the battle. They have a shot at the NC and there is something to be said for that. But I agree they hate Bama and aTm with almost equal intensity.

This is why we can never have civil discussions. Someone will always come in (no matter what their team affiliation is) and “Klarvin” or “Colorado” it up. They just have to be Walter. They crave the attention. Enjoy.

If you're going to come on our board and tout the coaching prowess of a guy who by every objective measure had underachieved nearly every season as a head coach, and who YOUR OWN FAN BASE BEGGED TO THE POINT OF PETITIONING THE AD TO GET FIRED, then you don't get to get pissed when you're called on it.

I just don't get the obsession with Fisher's salary. Every fricking thread I see a post about aggy spending 75 million, blah blah blah.

Who cares? It's not yours or A&M's money and is the dumbest smack talk short of jizz jars and gayness.

Your lack of reading comprehension is stunning. You are honestly breathtakingly stupid. And no one says a word.

Keep at it Roger. Just keep being you.

Jealousy. Plain and simple. Everyone thought we could buy our way into competitiveness with Bama with a big name hire. And he had LSU roots. It is the spurned lover thing. Ignore them. You got the guy you wanted and (in the end) we got the guy we needed. All is good.

You're on another team's board claiming you would take a guy who went 0-8 in the SEC as a HC over a guy who has won two combined national titles as a play caller and HC, because your dick is hard that you beat your rival for the first time in nearly a decade.

"Breathtaking" indeed

What is fun? That you cannot follow a simple train of thought? Please tell me that you are not a medical doctor. Because I cannot imagine you taking a patient history.
