Absolutely.
Win the championship and you'll have everyone in the country swooping in to raid your roster and coaching staff. You'll be cooked.

Roster will be raided no matter what

This game is fairly soft compared to what we used to watch.
I watched the full highlights of the 2008 LSU vs. Alabama game yesterday...
It's night and day difference.
Can you believe we used to actually play physical football?

All of CFB sucks and to be honest any NC from about 2016 and past would beat any NC since then. When they actually played def and had a real power run game. This game is fairly soft compared to what we used to watch.
Part of that is the rule changes.
A lot of this fast happy spread shite gets stopped when a DB literally takes a receiver’s head off.
Florida set the tone early in the NC against Oklahoma by destroying their receiver. That guy played scared the rest of the game.
The Florida DB is ejected in today’s game.

Did we not just see Indiana steamroll everyone last year, with a power run game, to a perfect record?

Yeah, the product is junk. There are some gifted athletes sure, but the development is just not there.
^ this. And it’s hurting the game.

Saban was right about everything tbh
^ also this. Right now, college football is effectively operating with free agency without a salary cap. That’s unsustainable in the long-run. There must be some sort of structure put in place similar to that of the NFL that ensures as wide of a pool as possible of teams being competitive exists. This is especially true if they’re wanting expand the playoff to 24 teams.

Please include Ohio St before those figs show up in the thread talking about how they survived a huge road test at Iowa.

After the beat down bama gives Georgia next week - bama will look heads and shoulders above everyone else (because they are) I certainly wouldn’t trade our staff with anyone.

Georgia and Bama are looking like the only legit teams this year.
This is what’s funny. You including bama as a top 2 or 3 team. Half of the top 10 dog walks bama. Starting with a beat down next week. lol

They were talking about this on WJOX this week. Viewership of college football is down almost 10% this season compared to last year.
If it weren’t for TVs in bars and restaurants and other public spaces I’d bet viewership is down by half. Those of us on these boards are fans…most of us spend an inordinate amount of time watching CFB games…. When we hear anything about viewership we immediately think that all of those people are like us…and they may be… but I seriously doubt it. I know for a certainty that every TV in every bar, restaurant, airport etc is tuned into games that almost no one is paying attention to….so TVs are tuned in but viewers aren’t. I suspect this will be born out in a few years when advertisers realize they aren’t getting a lot of bang for their buck. Live sports is the last thing network TV has….propping up sports is a requirement. I seriously doubt given the impact TV has on games that anywhere near as many people are watching as claimed….TVs are tuned into games and no one is paying attention

Bama fans beating their chests over wins from SEC powerhouses South Carolina, UK, and MSU. Nick Saban would chew your asses.

So true. The only people really watching cfb at home are people in the southeast and the midwest.
Most people couldn't care less.
The NFL is tanking as well.

That’s why get aggravated about the whole 2019 and 2020 best team of all time argument. You want to argue offense I’ll listen. These two defenses were average at best and I am thoroughly convinced the 2011 bs of the national title contenders would beat their counterparts

It’s like watching the NFL No thanks
I’m a Falcons fan so I have never been a fan of a NFL team and have always preferred the college game BUT between the 2 on TV the NFL is heads and shoulders better now. The NFL knows how to run a pro league that relies on TV to be viable. CFB simply abuses fans with the shite that TV does to the game. When you see a team make a first down and there is a 5 minute break in action to sell Allatate insurance you’ve broken the game beyond repair. You can’t shove the toothpaste back in the tube….its only going to get worse.
