You know he’s kind of older, but he’s nice and wants to win!"

This is what 5 star Safety Jacoby Mathews said of Brian Kelly. I guess that's a ringing endorsement.

This is incorrect. Anderson wanted out, Preston and Law never really showed interest typical LA kids show. Then when the entire coaching staff was fired, their decision became easier.

Anderson said the only reason he flipped his commitment from LSU to Alabama was because O was fired

Preston said after his comments to Bama, the reason he didn't go to LSU was because O wasn't there.

To those who realize that football was actually played in Louisiana prior to 2000 realize this could easily become the norm, Louisiana hasn't always been locked down.

This will not continue to be the norm. This was a perfect year to raid LA with coach O getting fired and LSU getting behind on NIL.

Both those issues will be addressed. Saban will probably continue to get a few as he always does, but as long as LSU addresses the NIL issues we will be fine.

Still have Citizen, Perkins, and Matthews we're in on, as well as some under the radar guys.

All of these guys could easily go elsewhere.

Luckily we took a big WR haul last year, and if we keep Boutte, we're looking at one of the better WR rooms in the country next year if guys progress how they have been at LSU.

This is really cringe. Smith transferred. BTJ is being courted by A&M because no one at LSU is willing to pay him. Boutte is being courted by Bama due to the same reason. Palmer left.

The sunshine pumping going on is nauseating. LSU is getting their shite kicked in and doing nothing about it..

We didn’t bring Kelly in to coach up the state’s 11-20 ranked players.. if Kelly and Woodward do not show any progress by next year with NIL, we go back to pre-2000 LSU where Ed Reed and Warrick Dunn were leaving the state in droves

Yeah that’s what he said but his actions said differently. If he was so sold on LSU under O then he wouldn’t have visited Bama after committing to LSU

Same with Preston. If he wanted to be at LSU so bad then he would have committed

doubt there was any coaching hire that could have been made that would have made up enough ground to sign all 3 of them

I am not at all saying Kelly was a bad hire but if Lincoln had been the hire you’re not losing any of that offensive talent in state. Not a knock on LSU or Kelly but LR douche bag or not will be an exciting recruiter and is obviously respected as an offensive mind.

It is what it is. Don’t think LSU will keep the best of the best at home until Saban retires. LSU will do better next year having some time to build relationships with La kids. BK getting hired so close to ESD he really had no chance in getting a lot of the key kids. It will be a better class next year. LSU will also have to figure how to find the $$$$’s to match Bama & A&M with the NIL BS going on.

With Kelly at LSU, Saban is back to cherry picking top Louisiana recruits.

Y'all tried to cherry pick the best RB too until Jimbo decided to make his move.

Regarding the guy who says Kelly can’t recruit and was a bad hire.
UR certainly an ignorant moron. Maybe it’s not your fault. Florida signed 9 players and USC ranked about 80th with their recruiting class. You can’t arrive 2 to 3 weeks before ESD and expect things to go well. If he doesn’t have good recruiting classes over the next few years then say something.

What’s cringe is you melting on EVERY SINGLE board over every little thing.

Boutte is not in the portal
Thomas is not in the portal
Trey Palmer was our 5th? Best WR this year

In addition, we still have bech, nabors, Hilton, Jenkins, and Lee on the roster.

Good thing we’re projected to land 6 of the top 10, including the top 2 players in the state.

The same Lincoln Riley who is about 50 spots below LSU in the recruiting rankings?

Recruiting is hard and Kelly came in on short notice. He did exactly what he should have which was lock up the linemen and 5 star qb. LA isn’t hurting for athletes, LSU will be fine.

You can bet your sorry arse they’re gone if LSU doesn’t get it’s shite together with NIL funding and organization.

I’ve never seen such utter incompetence in my life while two SECw rivals are running fricking laps around us for talent acquisition.

This is where Frank Wilson back on staff will be huge. He is going to make it much harder for y’all going forward. If you watch him walk in to places, he is treated like a rockstar. High school coaches love him!

Kelly’s ability to lock down the state will be one of the biggest contributing factors to his success or failure, IMO.

It will determine everything. If he can’t lock our borders down then we’re Texas after Mack.

You can’t compete with A&M, Bama or Georgia moving forward without our I-10 corridor locked. Losing the guys hurts on one level but then having to compete against them is another

The same thing happened in 2017 class when we were in transition from Les to O

Bama got Smith, Allen and Mathis. This time around getting Law, Preston and Anderson.

It happens in transition periods, but we all saw what happened once things were in place here in those 2018-2021 classes in terms of the state being more locked down.

I expect Kelly and staff to do similar coming up starting with 2023 kids for most part. Always will have 1 or 2 get away we want but in transition years its always tough to convince everyone to stay home when things are in flux.

Frank will lay the groundwork and BK will close. This was a perfect year for Saban to attack, but expect things to get back to the norm here soon.

Bama is pillaging LA talent this year. Good job! Kelly is one lazy SOB when it comes to recruiting. Why the hell he hasn't already scheduled home visits, especally with Matthews is baffling. Says a lot about his future with LSU.

We already signed Moss but Jacoby Mathews if the big LA get & last player we are really pushing for.

And I'd be very suprised if he doesn't sign with the Ags to be part of the highest ranked recruiting class in college football history. I'm not 100% but think one more 5-star gets us there.
