NIL, SEC growth, multiple bad years, and bad coaching hires has had a massive impact to auburn's reputation as a program.

Texas doing the same at RB. Also, looking for 2 starting OG and a C. Probably a #1 WR as well.

All in on giving Arch some protection and weapons in what is likely his final year.

A&M will be OL hunting, too, yes?

Call me crazy or dumb, but I dont think that Coleman fit Golesh's culture. Any player who wears 2 shiny wrist watches during a game against their biggest rival, gets shut down, and then has a game ending fumble is highly sus IMO.

I believe I have found a group of people worse at their jobs than Auburn football coaches and Auburn football players these last 5 years, and that’s Auburn “inside sources” on the internet.

Another awful strikeout by them, who claimed Cam was staying just yesterday.

If you’re an Auburn fan and you pay 1 red cent to any Auburn insider, you’re stupid as shiit.

Here's what I know-

Coleman turned down north of $2 million from Auburn. He left for two reasons - broken promises from staff (old to be fair) and the fact that Bynum Brown (USF QB) is probably headed to Auburn and will be the starter if he does transfer there. Coleman preferred Deuce Knight.

I expect UGA's offer to be around $1.5 million. Cam has said money will not be the deciding factor; development for the NFL and winning championships will be.

So, gambling on Brown cost them a 1st round WR? Seems like a risky play. Especially given that Brown will want some kind of assurances that his last year of tape isn't running for his life and nobody to throw to.

Yes we will.

We have some depth. But we need at least two OL and two DL.

This years portal crop should be more than decent.

As opposed to gambling on the frosh qb whose only start was against Mercer?

Don't get me wrong, losing Coleman sucks arse, but if you let players start dictating the personell, your HC is hopeless.

Drink will probably convince him to come to Mizzou so that they can run up the passing stats against Arkansas - Pine Bluff, Kansas, and Troy so that it balances out when they run 90% of the time when the SEC schedule starts.

It makes no sense that Coleman would "prefer" Knight (unproven QB) to Brown (proven/quality QB.)

I get the feeling Golesh isn't about to let Coleman rumored to be pulling ^$2mill in AU-NIL pick & choose who he wants at the most important position on the field.

I would agree with that. Just not sure I understand the reasoning here. A 5* QB starting in his sophomore year is normal these days. Programs all over the country are doing that. Plus, why not let him get his growing pains out of the way given year one staffs typically get a mulligan? What if he decides to bounce too? That's an awful lot to give up for an AAC transfer, don't you think?

I think that is up to the HC. He will be judged based on the field performance. Winning cures everything so he better pull some upsets next year.

I agree. I just can't see that being the reason. Coleman will be a huge upgrade for someone, but honestly, we need to get a functional Oline more than one playmaker at WR. This year, we were a 1995 Geo Metro with 8k rims.
