You mean a dial to account for Bama playing an all-SEC schedule?
Don’t forget beating a 6 win team for the national title.
Nothing says “best of all time” like defeating a 6 win team for the championship

Don't we hear this every year?... well, the model says yes, actually.
Computer models do not play ball, quit this
We crown a champion each season, let that champion enjoy the victory

Lsu beat the preseason top 4 by an average of 3tds. And the preason top 4 all were all essentially playoff teams that were eliminated by lsu

Most likely yes. LSU wouldn’t get any stops and Indiana would get enough.

stats that get overlooked is the special teams, penalties and turnovers.
Indiana was top 10 in blocked punts, punt return yards and field goal percentage.
They also only turned the ball over eight times during the season and had a +21 turnover margin while forcing 29 takeaways that led the nation.
Indiana averaged 5 penalties a game and under 27 yards. Second lowest in the nation.

Indiana was a lot better than you think. They beat 6 top 10 teams by an average margin of 23.5 pts/game... let that sink in a little.
I can give more context to this.
1995 Nebraska beat four top ten teams. In 1995, the AP Top Ten had just 4 first round picks, 14 top 100 picks, and 36 total picks. Just two players in the top ten picks.
In 2025, the AP Top Ten had 18 first round picks, 47 top 100 picks, and 80 total picks. Seven players were top ten picks.
The number of mature, NFL ready asskickers concentrated in the top ten teams was a hell of a lot higher for 2025 Indiana than everyone’s beloved 1995 Nebraska.

I would say that without the portal and NIL, all the Indiana players that got drafted wouldn't have been drafted had they stayed at previous schools.

Yes, this matters. Tho, '95 Nebraska was legit, because of how bad they beat everyone.
But you're talking to a bunch of people who's eyes go crossed when you mention any numbers - they're retards.

Not a chance. Burrows was on a mission that year.

Some of that was just the Nebraska style of the era. Below is a breakdown of 50+ point scoring efforts of Nebraska compared to FSU and Miami from 1983-1993. Keep in mind that FSU and Miami were 6-1 against Nebraska in this stretch and won five natties to the the Huskers’ zero. Nebraska routinely beat the hell out of teams even when they weren’t winning national titles.
Nebraska
50-59: 18
60-69: 11
70-79: 4
80-89: 1
Miami
50-59: 9
60-69: 2
70-79: 0
80-89: 0
FSU
50-59: 16
60-69: 4
70-79: 4
80-89: 0
Below is the NFL Draft breakdown from the AP Top Ten from 1990-2025 seasons.
1st rounders / Top 100 selections / Total Selections (Top Ten picks).
1990: 9 / 25 / 46 (4)
1991: 6 / 20 / 38 (3)
1992: 12 / 33 / 47 (6)
1993: 9 / 24 / 47 (3)
1994: 12 / 29 / 58 (5)
1995: 4 / 14 / 36 (2)
1996: 11 / 30 / 52 (6)
1997: 17 / 34 / 52 (7)
1998: 9 / 24 / 46 (2)
1999: 12 / 33 / 53 (4)
2000: 9 / 24 / 47 (2)
2001: 14 / 39 / 55 (6)
2002: 12 / 30 / 50 (4)
2003: 16 / 32 / 55 (3)
2004: 14 / 29 / 54 (6)
2005: 11 / 33 / 64 (6)
2006: 12 / 23 / 48 (5)
2019: 20 / 45 / 72 (9)
2020: 12 / 33 / 60 (4)
2021: 13 / 32 / 64 (5)
2022: 13 / 34 / 59 (6)
2023: 15 / 45 / 83 (5)
2024: 16 / 33 / 69 (3)
2025: 18 / 47 / 80 (7)
1995 was the weakest year for NFL ready talent among top ten teams. 2025 was arguably the strongest.

The 2019 LSU team was the most unbeatable team in modern football history on the same level if not better than the 2001 Miami Hurricanes, let's stop the madness here people!

Maybe, but they would not stand a chance against the 2020 Tide.

Maybe it’s because they weren’t an SEC team that they aren’t mentioned often, but I think 2018 Clemson belongs in the GOAT conversation. They may have had the most complete roster out of all the teams frequently mentioned among the best of all time.
2019 LSU and 2020 Bama were supernatural on offense but a little suspect on D. 1995 Nebraska had no serious threats in the passing game and weren’t all-time great on D. Ken Dorsey was a good QB for 2001 Miami, but he wasn’t that #1 pick type like Burrow and Lawrence. 2021 UGA had an otherworldly defense but not an all-time great O.
2018 Clemson was kind of an A on both sides of the ball. They weren’t A+ 2019 LSU on O or A+ 2021 UGA on D, but they were better than those teams on the other side of the ball.

2019 Alabama would beat 2025 Indiana so LSU by at least 20

I'll just say what the SEC Rant wants to here:
Indiana would beat LSU 9/10 times
Indiana would beat LSU 9/10 times
