LSU fans don't.

This discussion shouldn't be about if Indiana can beat LSU but hang with them.

I don't see why they couldn't.

Also, if it came down to coaching and in-game decisions Cignetti would smoke Ed O., so that wouldn’t be good.

Nice cherry picking from what I stated. I also said I thought it would be a crapshoot. I’m no fan of either team but if you think this past year’s Indiana squad wasn’t salty, then how did they manage to run the table with more games, players getting paid more, and higher stakes. All Burrow had to do was chuck it to Jefferson and Chase and it was pretty much a guaranteed td. Both are/were good teams in their own right. I’ll agree that lsu had more “talent” but where are most of those coaches that you just cited now and how are they doing?… Same with those 14 players - only 3 have Super Bowl rings.

O wasn't calling the shots, and you're fool if you think he was.

Look at the post directly above yours and actually read it.

Don't we hear this every year?

Actually no, we hadn't heard until this.past season.

And the answer is no.... Indian would beat 2019 LSU, 2020 bama or 2022-2013 Georgia.

What an amazing counter with nothing to back it up. I’d probably say the same thing if I couldn’t present a valid argument in return as well. What is it with LSU fans and “The 2019 National Championship Team”? Y’all should be happy that you have multiple titles just since 2000 and with the right staff, don’t have to hardly leave the state for recruits as long as the hospital money keeps coming in. Y’all are the highest achievers with the largest inferiority complex. FFS. Enjoy not sucking or shitting the bed every time you almost or “should win” and be happy that your school doesn’t do it at every given opportunity. I know that y’all are pissed that BK couldn’t deliver but y’all are always in the mix and usually at or near the top. Enjoy it, because the other shoe smells like shite. fricking entitled pussy.

Indiana had no problem shutting down a heisman level qb with 2 elite top 5 picks at WR in Ohio State

Indiana was number one in strength of schedule last year.

They faced eight teams in the top 25 strength of schedule.

I think 2019 LSU would beat 2025 Indiana something like 30-20. It would be competitive, but LSU had too much offense and overall talent. The only teams in the modern era that would have had a shot would be 2001 Miami (definitely could match up), 2004 USC and 2018 Clemson.

This doesn’t invalidate my point.

LOL
LSU would crush IU. It wouldn't even be respectable.

Indiana got better in the playoffs.

Yes, yes they did. But, not like LSU in 2019. That offense with those receivers was unstoppable. Hell NFL defensive backs couldn't/can't cover them must less Indianas. LSU would've had 500+ yards passing.

Melt bitch. Here is why your post is dumb. Let's break it down.
quote:

players getting paid more, and higher stakes.
Indiana wouldn't have had those players without getting paid more. With more teams in the playoffs, Indiana played a lower seed in the opening game.

quote:

All Burrow had to do was chuck it to Jefferson and Chase and it was pretty much a guaranteed td.
Burrow completed 76.3% of his passes. He had a 202 passer rating. Burrow wasn't just great, he was brilliant. Maybe you should go back and watch LSU vs Georgia in the SECCG.

quote:

but where are most of those coaches that you just cited now and how are they doing?…
Ensminger retired. Brady is the head coach of the Buffalo Bills. Aranda is the head coach at Baylor. Raymond returned to LSU and doing what he does best. DB recruiting has improved significantly since he returned.

Same with those 14 players - only 3 have Super Bowl rings.

Surely you can't be that stupid. Do you know how many NFL players are in the HOF without a ring ?

Take your wife somewhere nice for a pig fan, like Dairy Queen and enjoy some cool comfort.

Getting beat 20-30 isn't competitive.

The 2 WRs are close, but Sayin isn't even in the same stratosphere as Burrow that season. Not even close.

I'd have LSU by about 10-14 in that hypothetical game.

LSU won't blow them out and Indiana would still score a lot of points on that defense.

It would be a 60 to 50 type game.
