Just did the research. I would not be, it seems. That blurb doesn't say when he took it. Wonderlic itself points to Tom Landry being the first to administer it to his players in the 1970s. Bradshaw was drafted in 1970, and, as a lifelong Steeler, I doubt he was subjected to tests from Tom "Mr. Dallas Cowboys" Landry that year. And even then, that doesn't refer to the NFL as a whole administering it.

One of those is not like the others ....

.... he failed to even break the 20 mark.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmm.

Yet there is such a thing as a 'football IQ' we hear spoken of from time to time.

Jason Campbell scored a 23 on the wonderlic a few years ago and still played 10 years in the league. Not sure how much it REALLY matters. Dan Marino and Jim Kelly had scores of 15

Umm... 1970 is in the 1970's? I don't get whatever point you're trying to make. Is it that Bradshaw never took the test despite being listed on every site you can find related to the test? Or is it your belief that Bradshaw waited a few years and took the test voluntarily? (which would be pretty weird)

My point was fairly straightforward. There's no evidence he took the test during the draft process and it is therefore not particularly meaningful to discuss his score as a predictive metric being used as part of his drafting process.

I don't see how it's all that weird he would have taken it voluntarily. Go back to last year and quite a few SEC-R posters took it voluntarily and bragged about their scores here. Their scores aren't even relevant to the issue of pro QB scores, while Bradshaw's is, for obvious reasons. And he's spent his post-football career as a broadcaster, discussing these sorts of things on TV. In any event, my original comment was simply an attempt to point that invoking Bradshaw in relation to drafting QBs isn't particularly useful.

Edit: And, yes, the 1970s include that one year, but the wording description tends to suggest it wasn't specifically 1970. And even if it was, why would Landry be testing Bradshaw?

There' a minimum threshold to be a good QB. Once you cross it , it doesn't matter so much.

They don’t seem to matter at all. It’s such a pointless test.
Pointless if you don't agree or like the results/scores.

Wonderlic scores don't matter at all.

Just like most of the Combine tests, the final result isn't indicative of you being a good player. Execs use these tests to see your preparation.

Did I spend 3 months getting into the best shape of my life or did I show up fat and slow?

Am I articulate and respectful in interviews or am I just there so I don't get fined?

If your next job interview included a Wonderlic test, wouldn't you take a couple practice ones before showing up for the real one? What would say about your commitment or prep skills if you weren't embarrassed by a terrible score?

A quarter should get you better than 6.

At the Andrews Institute here in Gulf Breeze, FL., many of the kids going to the combine are brought in by their agents and for several weeks are worked out and schooled in all the different aspects of the combine (even how to be interviewed properly). There is a lot of attention paid to the Wonderlic test there.

Grimes is back on The Plains. Herb Hand is out. Should have more protection this season.

These are always fun. It's hilarious that people think this test is valid much less useful.

Not a difficult test. But if you've never been exposed to these type of questions it could be tricky
