The wonderlic is less about intelligence and more about your ability to react to something quickly and make the right decision. The questions are very easy for the most part.

The questions aren't difficult but it has more to do with logic games and learning how to take the test than it has to do with what matters, football instincts. I don't recall Jackson ever having an issue with making quick decisions on the field. The most comparable QB to Jackson is probably Vick and he only scored a 20 on the wonderlic. Tyrod Taylor scored a 15. Cam scored a 21. AJ Feely scored a 19. Dan Marino scored a 15. Terry Bradshaw scored a 16. Donovan McNabb scored a 14. Jeff George scored a 10.

they don't matter much... but i do want the QB of my team and the QB of the defense to be intelligent and have the ability to learn. Basically anything under 20 would concern me a fuzz for a QB. any other position not at all.

Think high scores are wanted for offensive linemen. Have to know blocking schemes and make quick reactions with a 300+ pound defensive linemen rushing straight at you, 260+ linebackers trying to squeeze the gap, DBs blitzing, delayed blitz, etc.

Aside from them and QBs, most other positions don't really matter as much.

Makes you wonder how they qualified in college.

They're 'leaked' every damned year. The NFL should just go ahead and release them officially after the results come in.

Don’t know...
But there is a reason they give the test.
Out of a long list of low scores...Terry Bradshaw is the only SUPERBOWL winning QB.
Wunderlick scores aside, I still like Josh Rosen as the #1 QB

Drew Brees - 28
Peyton Manning - 28
Tom Brady - 33
Eli Manning - 33
Tony Romo- 37
Drew Bledsoe - 36
Troy Aikman - 29
Philip Rivers - 30
Aaron Rodgers - 35
Matt Ryan - 32
Matt Stafford - 38
Steve Young - 33
Andrew Luck - 37
John Elway - 29
Andy Dalton - 29
Nick Foles - 29

Favre - 22 (prolific passer, shite ton of turnovers)

Dan Marino - 15

Vince Young - 6

So while the test score isn't the end all be all, pulling from a certain range seems to be a great way to improve your odds as a franchise.

Not sure that stat is all that meaningful. Only a tiny handful of QBs ever win a SB, especially when you factor in how many repeat winners there are.

I call BS on the Bradshaw one. I seriously doubt the NFL was administering the tests when Bradshaw was drafted. He might have taken one since that time, but that's not the same thing.

Such an idiotic, bullshite statement.

I'm sure the billion dollar franchises administer it for the hell of it.

Who cares, even some of the top quarterbacks have done bad and the worst NFL quartbacks have done good. It's a pointless test

That order is actually pretty close to what I'd have guessed.

Yes....it’s just one of many perameters that teams use to decide on a draft choice.
I will say this, I would not draft a Q B in the first round with a low score unless they are Brett Farve or Dan Marino.
Is that fair? :)

How would you be able to determine they would end up being what they came to be at the time they were drafted?

That would have served me well all except for about 3 times in nfl history. Seems like those odds are solid

I wouldnt draft under a 15 at qb in any round

Yes, 28 seems to be the start of where your best luck for a franchise QB starts. People just seem to get bent out of shape about test scores, yet will cream their panties over combine results.
