Are there not any issues with the NFL and putting a game on directly opposing their games? Been wondering about this. I almost feel like, if anything, they'll move the game up to noontime. Which sucks in my opinion.

Pretty sure it's looking like it's going to kickoff as scheduled. Maybe they should move it back an hour to 7:30, but I doubt it.

Sad they don’t care about safety

Oh, I’m sure the game will go on as scheduled, hurricane or not. Word is ABC has already added Jim Cantore to its sideline reporting crew!

It is nice to see Bama and Georgia not get into a pissing contest like 10 years ago and whine about how “we’re getting fricked”. Two adults are handling this situation.

We have a safe space in Tuscaloosa for
you. Not sad at all.
We have the best mind drugs.
Some people say the best mind drugs ever.
You will be ok.

Moving it to L3u stadium, which is Bama’s home away from home anyway.

Hell, games used to be played in the rain snow or heat.
Both teams have to ply in it. Fukin play the game.
It may be a slop fest. Both teams are good enough to win out, regardless of which team wins.

Bad weather favors UGA right? Is Trump still coming?

The game itself has a good chance to be rain free. Field will be wet obviously. Tailgating and all the usual pregame stuff is probably washed away. Biggest game impact will be how windy it still is.
I wonder what Gameday will do...it'll probably be the worst of it during Sat morning.

Every forecast now has it past Tuscaloosa by 1:00PM. It'll be clear by kickoff, not even rain or wind.
The only thing that is affected is College Gameday. They'll probably move it inside somewhere.

What about the fans traveling to the game?

Will be considerably weakened that far inland. Tropical depression or less.
Also landfall has ticked more and more east, from Mississippi then Orange Beach to possibly Destin by Friday night. Everything west of the storm won't be in the thick of it.
A lot of people get into Tuscaloosa on Friday. The RV army always starts showing up on Wednesday.

Latest from NOAA. To me it looks to be gone just north by game time. But will it damage electric and other infrastructure that would impede a game?

I guess we shall see, but it seems wild that a tropical storm will be passing through at 7am-Noon and they’ll be playing the game at 6-7
If this were a weekday, the city and schools and most businesses would be closed for the day.
Yeah the brunt if not all of the storm will have passed a couple hours prior, weather will be fine for kickoff, but 20-50% of the city will be without power. And that’s assuming no bad tornados or flooding events or anything crazy. Just normal power outages for a tropical storm.
Should be interesting to see. At the very least, it’ll be a quite unusual gameday in Tuscaloosa.
