LSU has lost multiple home games due to hurricanes, at least two moved to a different city altogether, others moved to the end of the season. How will the SEC handle this marquee game?

if they cancel game UGA and Bama would be ineligible to win SEC
That's what Sankey told LSU and Florida when that game had to be rescheduled

Weather is looking rough in Tuscaloosa for Saturday. Would they ever move a game to Sunday?

I swear there is an echo in this place.

it happened to UGA in 2016 but I highly doubt it'll happen now. Bama has UT and UGA has AU the following weekend. I can't imagine making bama and uga both lose an extra day prior to those matchups.

Decision should come after lunch today. Looking like it will be moved right now.

Might depend on the strength. If it comes on land as a 1 stuff might still be working up there after it passes through earlier in the day. If it's going to be a 2 hitting land and aiming for there it would be changed. We canceled way too early with a hurricane before so that could happen also.

Wouldn’t the easiest thing be just to move it to Sunday?

They won’t move it to Athens for damn sure. Sankey can’t have his darlings losing a home game

I would say "Oh god please make this happen", but thinking of the alternatives if it did, I'll pass.

I’m sure Stankey is on top of this. Wouldn’t be the first time he screwed up a situation like this.

If this was Athens being threatened with severe weather for a game vs Alabama, they game would have been moved to Tuscaloosa yesterday.

They should probably wait until at least tomorrow evening to make any decision, but as of right now the forecast looks like the center of the storm will be passing through central Alabama by midday on Saturday. Most of the rain will be on the north and east sides of the storm, so if the current forecast's timing holds then Tuscaloosa may just be breezy and overcast by kickoff time. So unless the storm's forecast forward speed slows down, the bad weather is looking like more of an issue for tailgating than the actual game.

I assume College Gameday will probably have to setup indoors though in the basketball arena.

friday night seems the obvious answer with little changed logistically, Thursday even better, to insure all are home safe before the storms
