Arguably the greatest player in AU history just got cut for a Bama qb. You read that right. A Bama qb. You can see why the Aubies are a little chapped today.

I love the way Mac Jones stands and steps up in the pocket. He’s going to be a good NFL QB as long as the Pats continue to build like they always do.
On the flip side, cam Newton still has some ball left in him as long as he cuts out the controversy. He’s always got drama. A team like Houston should sign him

Cam will probably get some level of HOF consideration
highly doubtful. He was very average as a QB outside his one MVP season. He doesn't have the volume stats or a super bowl ring either. One elite season in a 10 year career is not going to get him into HOF consideration.

The joker walking away from that hospital that he blew up

I dont know the exact process but I bet he gets through some stage of it. Nowhere close to actual induction though

Let's wait and see that he doesn't embarrass himself.
He is a rookie QB at the end of the day.

Mac Jones is in the absolute perfect situation.
I barely follow the NFL anymore at all, but did the Patriots significantly upgrade their offensive talent because it was arguably the worst in the league last year?

No, but I also think Mac is overhyped on this board.
His amazing preseason - in reality - has been modestly good. If he weren't on the Pats we'd all be talking about how he might have a chance to become a solid NFL starter with the requisite patience.
I tend to go the other direction on sure things, so while I think Mac under BB at NE is a recipe for success, I won't be surprised at all if NE fans are whining about him by mid-season, etc.

He could.
He’s got the measurables.
Just needs experience.
He won’t break the rushing TD record Cam set, but most QBs play longer IF they don’t run at all.
Good luck to him.

Not too many other QB's have a super bowl ring during the Tom Brady era.

Dang you taking this way too hard bro.

Cam loses his job to a rookie Alabama QB. Auburn fans:

And? Should Brad Johnson, Joe Flacco, or Carson Wentz be candidates for the HOF? Of course not. Regardless, that point was raised for QBs that at least have some hardware to put by their names as a boost to their resume. Cam doesn't even have that. Cam had one really good season in his career and a whole lot of average after that. He doesn't have the super bowl ring. He doesn't have the volume "milestone" stats. WHat has he actually done that would warrant any sort of consideration for the HOF? A lot of hype and natural ability that never materialized into greatness for more than a season?

I bet Mack would have went for that fumble.

He is in a really good spot to be successful.
I read somewhere that during the same period of time from Brady's tenure with NE, the other teams averaged something like 14 different starters.
I do think Belichick feels even more motivated after Brady last season. Right or wrong, I have heard some of the talking heads saying NE success was more Brady than Belichick.

If Newton goes to Dallas, will the Auburn fans refer to the team as the Camboys?
