Would have already been a top ten pick as a true freshman this year and LSU still gets him for two more years. Incredible.

Time will tell but he's off to a heck of a start. Time to avoid a sophomore slump or injury bug. It bit Delpit last season for most of the season unfortunately.

It’s already rare for a true freshman CB to come in and play well, especially in the best conference in America.

It is unheard of for a Freshman to be the best CB in the country.

He would have been drafted #3 overall if he was eligible. He should have won the Thorpe this year. Health is the key.

He’s a top 5 guy barring injury.

I think the main problem is he will get much less opportunities to make plays the next two seasons and QBs will look to avoid throwing his way and target the other LSU DBs. So he will likely have trouble redoing the production he had this past season.

He's pretty clearly an insanely rare combo of elite physical abilities and elite instincts.

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. He’s a stud. We may have a cart before the horse situation here. If teams refuse to throw his way then it proves he’s great.

He definitely has every tool he needs

If he just turned in 2 more season like last year you could argue it.

I've never seen a CB better at reading a WR on a deep route, getting his head around and taking away a jump ball

If you watch LSU, one of the things Burrow has said was if the CB isn't looking at him, he considers his guy open.

Stingley is so good at getting his head around and contesting and even winning those passes.

I think QB's will be testing the other side of the field.

It's too bad he went to the 2nd best DB school in the country though. Imagine what he would have been if he went to Ohio State.

As long as he only has to face Devonta Smith and Jalen Waddle one more time, he should be fine.

Why Waddle?

Because he's more dangerous than Smith. I don't recall Waddle and Stingley matching up too much in the last game, but you don't want that.

Getting burned twice by Devonte is a long term blessing. He now personally has something to prove in TS next year.

The thing about Sting, is he has ELITE temperament. He’s not cocky, he’s not reading his clippings, he just trusts himself and works on his craft. He’s really the only kid I’ve ever seen like that . Pimp Jr was his classmate and he’s been this earnest little worker kid since middle school. He’s just blessed.

Waddle isn’t even close to Smith. Smith IMO will be the first WR picked next season and rightfully so. Kid is a beast, and beat Stingley consistently in last years game
