Waddle didn’t play much because of Bama’s other receivers

You mean the receivers Chase beat out for the Biletnikoff?

Just wait until we add Ricks on the other side of the field next season along with the rest of our defensive backs. Scary.

but if i were a general manager I would take Waddle over Chase

Waddle is like 5’9 180lbs.

Chase is 6’1 200lbs

Waddle can take the top off of a defense but Chase is a 10yr possession WR if there ever was one. He’s physical and runs excellent routes. Bama and Clemson DBs we’re literally punching him with all their might at the LOS and this happened:

9 catches / 221yds / 2 TDs
6 catches / 140yds / 1 TD

He was fourth on his team after two guys that didn’t sniff the top ten and another guy...

And you think he’s hands-down better than the reigning Biletnikoff recipient that’s projected top-5?

Chase will be number 1 receiver off the board in next years NFl draft that is fact ! Waddle this guy has done nothing against top competition. Did you see what Chase did against first round Db's? This isnt even an agrument

As a true freshman in 2018, he had 10 less receptions than Waddle did in 2019.

Getting burned twice by Devonte

Twice?

LINK

Look again. There’s 6 yards of separation in some of those routes. He was burned for touchdowns twice. He was burned completely several more times in that game. Kid knows Smitty got the better of him that day, and I do agree that it will only help him in the long run. Hard to actually believe you have to put in the work without memories like these as a reality check that there are some bad dudes in this league that can make you look silly if you don’t bring your A game

If you call 5 catches for 60 yards being "burned".

Somebody didn’t watch the video. A DB can get roasted without giving up a completion. It was a clinic for the kid.

But yea, giving up 5 for 60 in addition to the 2 for 149 isn’t ideal. You’ll see in the video that the stat line could’ve been a lot worse. Stingley had the worst game of anyone for either team that day. It is what it is, sometimes corners have a bad day.

Stingley for sure had a bad day, he was going up against a great quarterback and receiving group on the road as a true freshman, it happens.

As long as he only has to face Devonta Smith and Jalen Waddle one more time, he should be fine.

Hahahahahahahaha

How’d Smith & Waddle do in the playoffs last year? Good Beer belch worth of laughs

Did they enjoy that Citrus Bowl? Better than getting humiliated by Clemson again huh?

Everyone knows coaching contributed to that one TD by Smith. Overconfidence led to the second.

You Gumps can keep exalting yourselves and dishing out your bits of arrogance, but know that Stingley buckled down after that and LSU allowed 1 TD passing in the last 4 games

Tua’s gone and Joker Jones you got back there is gonna get stoned to death in November, only six months away.

We’re licking our chops waiting for the day

Gumps and an Aubbie are actually arguing that Waddle is better than Chase in a thread about Derek Stingley Jr.

The Alabama denial is hilarious.

He’s the best receiver to come through Bama since Julio

Just bc he hasn’t seen much action doesn’t mean shite

If he was the best receiver since Julio Jones, then yes it means something that he's seen less action compared the rest of Alabama's receivers. Julio, Amari, Ridley, Jeudy, etc all saw a lot of action early. Not saying Waddle isn't good, but you may need to pump the breaks on him being better than guys like Amari Cooper, Calvin Ridley, and Jerry Jeudy

Stingley has set a NEW STANDARD. One in which a True Freshmen CB, playing in the best College Football Conference in America, against elite talent practically every weekend, made FIRST TEAM All American. Deion didn't come close to that standard in his FRESHMEN season.

It's too bad he went to the 2nd best DB school in the country though. Imagine what he would have been if he went to Ohio State.

He wouldn’t have won a national championship? What kind of dumb shite is this
