Smith IMO will be the first WR picked next season and rightfully so

I think this Chase guy that resides down on the Bayou will have something to say about that.

Because he's more dangerous than Smith. I don't recall Waddle and Stingley matching up too much in the last game, but you don't want that.

Waddle had three catches for 22 yards...

I think we'll be just fine with them trying other guys. If we didn't have Stingley this year a lot more people would be talking about Flott, he had a terrific TFr season, played outside and in the slot, throw in Raydar, Ward, Ricks and McGlothern and teams will be rolling the dice every time they throw, especially with our front 4 getting more pressure

The thing about Sting, is he has ELITE temperament. He’s not cocky, he’s not reading his clippings, he just trusts himself and works on his craft.

It really is so refreshing. Modern DB's will talk shite after a QB airmails a pass out of bounds.

Best CB next year? Sure.

Of the last 10 years? Maybe.

Best all time?

That's not even debatable

He's definitely in the conversation

Remains to be seen. I don't recall Deion being named 1st Team All American his Freshmen year. So far Sting has a leg up on Deion early in his career.

This.

You wanna beat Deion you gotta have some demigod like gifts. So far, Sting looks like he might be the one. But that's some rarified air up there. We'll see if he can maintain it.

Deion Freshmen Year (1985) NO All American list

Stingley Freshmen Year (2019) 1st Team All American

Deion Sophmore Year (1986) 3rd Team All American

Stingley Sophmore Year (2020) To Be Determined

Deion Junior Year (1987) Unanimous All American

Stingley Junior Year (2021) To Be Determined

Deion Senior Year (1988) Unanimous All American, Thorpe
Winner

Stingley Senior Year (Will not participate)

So by comparison, Sting is way ahead of Deion at his current pace as far as college careers goes.

If Waddle isn’t the first receiver off the board next year then someone fricked up.
He’s the best receiver to come through Bama since Julio

Just bc he hasn’t seen much action doesn’t mean shite

Josh Jacobs never even started, and I think he’s doing alright in the NFL

I see Waddle going top 5, Chase top 10, Devonta top 20

Waddle was the 5th best receiver in the LSU Bama game alone last year

Got burnt because he was a freshman talking to his coach as the play went off. Don’t expect those mistakes again.

The Sporting News and CBS rated Chase as the #5 and the #2 picks in their 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

Waddle is listed as the 12th overall in the latter. The third WR off the board. In the other Mock, he's not listed at all. Smith is listed as a Top 15 in the Sporting News Mock. In the CBS Mock...he's not listed.

So in reality, it appears as if experts consider it a consensus that Chase will be a Top 5 type pick, and the two WR's you're talking about from Bama have no consensus whatsoever.

Having said that, Smith is an elite playmaker and projects the same way at the next level.

Has a chance to be but we'll see. If nothing else he has a chance to be a 3 time consensus All-American, which is pretty elite company.

Everything LSU fans are saying about Waddle is because he was low on the depth chart.

He’s faster than Chase, by a lot. That matters to NFL teams.

Ask Auburn fans what they think of Waddle. He popped off for over 200 yards against them.

After that punt return I would’ve thought LSU fans would have more respect, but they’re braindead. That punt return was unreal. One of the best punt returns in SEC history

Waddle is best receiver next year. Stingley best CB. Jamaar chase makes it close but if i were a general manager I would take Waddle over Chase - it’s close but Waddle wins out. Waddle didn’t play much because of Bama’s other receivers - it will be fun to see him next year when he is the man
