Bama is gonna do what they have to do to keep ole Kirby. That's why you never hear his name for coaching vacancies.

If they would even consider Kirby Smart, I'd think they'd go after Gary Patterson first.

Kirby is ready for a gig of his own. He's been around Nick for a while and he's a better defensive coach than Muschamp. He can recruit and I think the pro style offense can work at UF. All the Gators need is a QB that won't get him beat and a Head coach that is half way competent. Kirby should really be considered imo.

Nick Saban is the real defensive coordinator. Why would Florida not hire someone who is a proven winner as a head coach?

Why not Richard Smith, or Dean Pees, or Chris Cosh, or Bill Miller?
Look at that list. Add Billiam Muschamp to it. Do you think it is a good bet to go beating that door down again?

Muschamp tanked Smart's shot at stepping right into a top job. Smart was the pick for a few UGA boosters back when some were trying to oust Richt. Now he's been on the radar of a few programs but he's well down the list. He's going to have to cut his teeth somewhere first.
