Well, if he is gay, it's probably only for a few minutes a day.

The thing that's makes it worse about Clemson having bad fans is that they try extremely hard at making everybody think they are the greatest and classiest fans. One big act from the whole clan just like their head coach.
Vandy's Place

The Bottom: Don't know how to put it any other way. SC is way down there no doubt, but Vandy?

Glad we won but that ump's strike zone was horrendous.

He's being paid for the use of his name.

I guess Les told them to go out there and play loose. OK, ok, enough with the corny jokes...

CSS's departure may have been sudden, yet that put him (Tanner, the Carolina AD) way ahead of the curve.
He knew he needed a new coach before almost every other AD.
Since you say South Carolina failed at the search, who do you think we would have ended up with if it was done correctly? Smart would have been our #1 candidate if not for Herman(you insinuate we failed because we mis-gaged his interest, so just take him out). Rodriguez was NOT offered the job by the way.

Everyone advocated the playoff as helping the non marquee programs have a chance at the national championship. I said the real effect will be that the name brand programs will always find a way to be worked in. When they go to either, bet your sweet arse a team like Ohio State will NEVER be ranked 9-14. They will either be in top eight or down as far as fifteen. No in between.

Steve Spurrier is available.
re: How does the Golden firing affect SC?

Really doesn't matter on which job is better. The jobs are different enough that I don't think the same candidates will be truly interested in both jobs.

Make or break? Heck, I feel like he's just now getting things going.

That won't be enough to keep him.
re: South Carolina job vs Maryland Job- which is better?

Maryland should go after the Toledo coach.

Md has zero chance of ever winning the B1G East..USCe has won the SEc East...much easier task. They will probably make the same amount of $$.
I highly doubt Maryland is going to pay as much as SC.

Options disappear very quickly during a coaching search. Very delicate situation making offers and trying not to let it get out and making someone feel like they were second fiddle.
re: Steve Spurrier to retire
Posted by AICrooster on 10/12/15 at 9:37 pm
"Spurrier had three 11-2 seasons, a 9-5 season they won the east, and 7 seasons of crap. Spurrier was desperate to get back in college. But he would have killed it at a program with a pulse. It's unfortunate."
He didn't want that.
He didn't want that.
re: Will Muschamp is overrated.

I wouldn't question whether or not he is a good coordinator because he obviously is. I only question why it's thought that he will spend a couple more years as a DC and then look to get back into a head coaching role. How is that supposed to turn him into a sought after candidate by going that route again? If he wanta to really prove himself as an HC he should take a job at a smaller program and show what he has instead of taking the safe route. He'll get paid thought because there will be an AD dumb enough to take the chance again.
