You know, if Bernie had just been allowed to run all this would be done by now. I am pretty sure he would have been wiped out, but it would have caused the Democrats to look inward and change directions to perhaps represent their constituents again.

You guys are overreacting to this one. When boomers were young that was the polite way to refer to black people.

I remember my grandmother fussing at me for calling a little boy black when I was about 5. She said (and she was correct at the time) that black people didn't want to be called black, they wanted to be called colored, so that was the proper thing to do. I asked her why and she said that she supposed that colored people were ashamed of being black. In fact, the NAACP stands for National Association for the Advancement of COLORED People. They named it.

About 10 years later I was chastised by my parents for calling someone colored. They don't want to be called that, they want to be called black now. Then it was African Americans. Now I just call them Democrats.

That is why I voted for Perot.
