Probably because he's the head coach at LSU and desires to coach the top notch talent Louisiana produces, instead of having to coach a against them at another school. Just a guess.

I thought it was funny too. I just went with it, I got a soft spot for Les, Orgeron is a backstabbing fraud, and LSU in my honest opinion is better than him. So frick Joe Alleva too. Just my .02 from a Florida fan that’s always kinda liked LSU, despite the hurricane mess.

maybe for the same reason that other college coaches try to keep the instate kids for them.
