Everyone creates a post about someone needing their jersey retired. Tommy Hodson is not one that needs his jersey retired. At some point it becomes meaningless.
re: NC State insiders have just conceded- Wade to LSU

I loved Wade when he was here but this is just odd and rather forced timing.
re: Just insane that it's likely that Lane, Jay, Wade gonna all be at LSU at the same time..

Great time to be a Tiger

Not the same game. Not saying she couldn’t have success but it’s not apples to apples.

Still plenty of time for the offense to find its stride. Long Cooper for a few weeks definitely hurts but we have guys that are talented enough to be extremely good. We just can’t put it together yet.

Defense is bad but it’s not even the worst defense Jay Johnson has had at LSU
Curiel, Brown, Stanfield, and Milam keep this team from being Jay’s worst defensive team. Unlike in ‘22 we don’t have the offensive fire power to offset some of the defensive concerns.
Defense although a weak point isn’t the biggest issue with this team IMO.

Had a really nice hit so not sure what your complaints are about.

His curve was really on tonight
He definitely threw the curve ball well but his "changeup" is straight filth when he has command/feel for it. And it was last night.
Their pitching staff has been impressive so far this season. And even though Cam clearly struggled on the mound last night doesn't take away from what he done up until last night. Now with that being said I am far more impressed with their Saturday (#2) starter than Cam. LJ Mercurius has been an absolute stud this season and is damn near unhittable at times.
Don't overreact to 1 game. Now if we can continue to improve and show consistency at the plate and our starters can be in the zone I like our chances against anyone but don't discount the sooners after 1 game when Evans threw the best game of his career.

MLB league average is around 20%-25% which he is sitting right in that range.
All the everyday starters are hitting below .300. He is 4th on the team in average. He was arguably the 2nd best bat in the lineup last week against Vandy. This team besides Brown has struggled at the plate at times this season.
Whether you believe he should have gotten credited with more than 3 pass balls is irrelevant, the number is 3. He has improved behind the plate since last season and is still the best option. This is his first season as an everyday starer and will continue to develop and improve but the narrative you're trying to push is extremely misguided.

Sometimes the most subtle changes have the biggest change in result. His "changeup" had the most life this season last night. I sure hope that he has found his rhythm and can build off this outing for the rest of the season this team can be real dangerous on the mound again.
He has looked impressive at the plate and has improved behind the plate as well. His development is key for the Tigers.
Ticket sales means very little to the football and basketball (mens) programs. They get a large portion of money through TV deals. When you understand that you realize LSU can turn a profit regardless if they are good or not. Therefore $ is not going to be the driving force with the MM situation.

I’m the biggest Marucci fan there is, but I’ve been doing some research and I think it’s time to shop around.
I pulled all of the data from 2009 to now. In 2009 the exit velo’s off the bats were so much faster than this year in 2026. We just aren’t hitting the ball as hard.
Wow just wow....cannot compare '09 to 2026.

Dang it I saw this thread and then immediately went searching on here excitedly to find a stickied thread where it said LSU fires McMahon.
Talk about a huge disappointment.
It still doesn't look like we are going to be firing MM. I will believe it when I see it.
This is an interesting take....but that doesn't mean its a good one.
Nothing a Coach says should be taken as absolute truth. However, I still don't believe LSU will fire MM. I will continue to approach it with a believe it when I see it mindset.

ETA: Jrv2damac also made the same assumption in the post below. I suggest that 80% or more of those who want Wade to stay away from LSU don't support McMahon.
80% is rather high. Nor sure 80% of the fanbase can agree on anything other than the teams colors and mascot.
Should adopt the believe when you see it philosophy. There is nothing that is pointing towards us firing MM.
