re: Why is Ed O afraid of schools recruiting Louisiana kids

I understand the difference in these camps and satellite camps. I'm saying the concept is the same. If USC want to invite other SEC coaches, ok. That shouldn't stop any other coach from trying to do what is best for his program. The entire goal for LSU is to keep good Louisiana talent at LSU and not at other SEC schools. I know that pisses many of you off, but it's just the reality, and as much as I don't like O, I can't blame him for doing what he thinks is best for LSU football.

Can't help that Louisiana infects it's children with horrible habits and mindsets that are hard to break. It starts at home and clearly the state of Louisiana is the problem. We'll keep trying to pull them out of the endless cycle of poverty and violence though.

LSU has been recruiting Louisiana well since the early 2000s....and by well, I mean VERY well
Exactly without blocking out of state coaches to help at instate camps. So why is it happening now? Because Ed can’t sell his program like Les could and he’s paronoid he is going to lose even the marginal players in Louisiana. That’s the only reason to do this and it’s hilariously petty and stupid. Keep defending him though please keep him there forever.

Of course Ed can’t sell the program like Les. He’s a second year coach. Les won a title early on. These are exactly the reasons I’m fine with Orgeron blocking out other SEC schools. He needs all the help he can get.

The two RBs rated lower than him?
Pretty sure Cain is rated over Emery, but Emery is a great RB. Not too sure if Cain will be going to LSU, though.

Aaaaaand, I would have been wrong. Emery is rated higher than Cain. I really like Emery, though. Would love it if Georgia could pull him.

Where did your Heisman winner learn to load up his nose and beat on women?
It's a shame to say I was born & raised in the same state as such a piece of shite.
I guess he's Canada's problem now

Nope! Ed already has connections

The best part is after they leave LSU posters act like they are not welcome back to Louisiana. Like their 40 yr old fat asses are going to do anything

Your comebacks are below that of the average Aggy.
Hard to believe, I know.

We just aren’t letting other coaches coach OUR camps. I see no problem with it.
There is nothing wrong with it. The optics may not be great, but in today's hyper competitive atmosphere of recruiting, I can't blame any coach for doing everything he can to get an advantage.

Kyle was already set to be redone before Johnny showed up. As much as certain people loved to say it, it was never true.

Its the worst part of the offseason, so its hard to keep up the motivation to care.
I hope everyone is having a great summer though!

Orgeron will never sell his program like Les, Aranda brings more to the table for you guys then he does. It should piss you off when Ed does something stupid like this and makes your program look less like a Top 10 school. No other major program is worried about this but Ed is? I just thought you guys expected better, but If your happy battling the MSU’s of the world for Louisiana’s marginal players by blocking them from seeing them so be it. It doesn’t hurt my feelings.

Yes because that’s how leaders get better, you always want to keep connections going and make new ones. You want your coach continuing to better himself and learn from others. I’m starting to think Ed feels the same Way that you do, that isn’t a plan for being successful that’s having too big of an ego and having too thin of skin to admit you don’t know everything. Those are very bad qualities for the states highest paid employee,

Yep, if he can somehow finish at +1, that would be a big win.

And yet the A&M people never start threads about LSU.
