weird that all the years that Miles was here I don’t recall Saban ever inviting him.

Just ate up with Bama, so just keep Saban out and let everyone work the camps like every other school in the country. USC just had a big camp and invited Mullen, if he’s scared of Saban he should just say so.

Is your whole argument here it's actually BETTER to have coaches from outside the state freely come in to evaluate and coach at big camps held by instate schools?

Really....I mean really?

I've seen some dumb stuff on this board, but this one is definitely up there as of recent.

On what planet is this actually a negative thing

The planet where your coach is spending more time trying to keep other programs out of his state due to paranoia that they might offer something better, instead of improving his own program. Which is the only thing that’s really going to help him recruit. I think we call that Earth, don’t mind me though I’m just triggered.

Better for who your paroinoid coach that’s So thin skinned he can’t handle having real coaches around him, or for the players that are trying to get seen by these coaches? I thought these camps were supposed to be about helping kids get seen not trapping them into having one option for school. Maybe I’m wrong though.

Spending time? By saying this camp is for any Louisiana coaches to attend?

Funny concept of "Spending time" there, really getting down to the couple seconds that took him once

If you say so. I’m sure if he just asks nicely once coaches won’t come, you’re right.

Paranoid or doing the right thing in terms of helping recruiting? I think you're massively confused here. He is keeping out of state school's coaches, from freely coming into the state's event camps to get easy evals. He's making them work more. That's absolutely a positive for us, as it should be. A Coach's job is to get everything in your favor you can, do you not agree? You'd be dumb to think otherwise.

ETA: This just has to be a troll at this point, I cant seriously fathom someone being upset other out of state school's coach get barred from attending big camps your coaches hold

Yeah, totally cool to help out coaches you compete with on recruits, makes total sense

Nah we are keeping everyone out. Louisiana kids are free to go out of state to whatever camp they choose. You act like we are keeping the Louisiana players hostage . We just aren’t letting other coaches coach OUR camps. I see no problem with it.

I guess I’m dumb then, I don’t see the point. It looks to me like he’s only hurting the kids that aren’t good enough to play at LSU but good enough for some other power 5’s and get stuck at Louisiana Tech. I see why Holtz is so on board, he’s is the only one that will gain from it.

Will you care when Ed isn’t invited to come help with out of state camps? Like I said Mullen was at USC last weekend. Ed won’t get those invites in the future because he’s being petty about this. Don’t you want him to have the opportunity to work an out of state camp and evaluate some players?

Trust me, no one was confused about that.

I don’t actually think you’re dumb, but your posts do come across as triggered.

I’m dumb and triggered apparently, although I have no idea why, this doesn’t effect Florida one bit. I’m just trying to have a conversation about it, but all you guys want to do is get defensive, so I’m just rolling with it at this point.

I do. Are we talking about school specific satellite camps out of state here, or are we talking about Ed O wanting to lock down his state?

there is no difference. Every coach, Saban included, doesn't want other coaches setting up satellite camps in their neck of the woods.

Because he knows if other schools can get them into states w/functioning infrastructure, clean cities, and low crime they are never going to want to leave.

It's also interesting how schools like USF and FAU happily host Meyer and Saban at their camps, while Orgeron begs the LA schools to block any non-LA coaches.

Yes, having big name coaches at small time school camps draws kids that everyone can recruit.

LSU isn't USF, baw. Sorry.

That has already been addressed and ruled illegal last year. We aren’t talking about satellite camps here. This is just regular camps that you usually invite other coaches too help with, USC did one last weekend and invited Mullen. This would be like USC only inviting Cali schools to there camps which they obviously aren’t doing. I don’t think anyone but Ed Orgeron has talked about doing this.
