Don’t get me wrong, he’s a good coach! But, look at his track record as a head coach? You get maybe a year or two, and he’s out, to something “bigger and better”..

Again...what is it about Kiffin that causes posters to just pull shite out of their asses to post about him? He left a job after one year once in his career, twelve years ago.

Contrary to popular belief there is no expiration date on these football programs that can harvest their own backyard
You will never see another “State of Miami” like you did with Howard back in the 80s. With social media and the way the world is now, proximity to home is one of the least important things to a recruit nowadays.

Plus Miami has dog shite facilities and fan support. The only thing it has over Ole Miss is Miami. And I’d be willing to bet most of the posters think that South Beach is a paradise. It’s not. It’s turned into a shite hole.

Ole Miss has better facilities, fan support and more money than Miami does. Anyone that has paid any attention to that program over the last decade or so will notice that. Miami being mediocre isn’t an accident

Because he’s a job hopper

Example #5. This bullshite again. Once in his career, 12 years ago.

quote:

and can’t recruit

#7 class at Tennessee, in a rebuild.
#4 and #8 classes at USC.
#17 class at Ole Miss...Ole Miss...last year.

He still has some maturing to do IMO... I'm not sure if he will ever get there, lol.

Watching him actively dig his team into holes with terrible 4th down decisions made me so glad we didn't steal him.

Example #6.

This bullshite just makes posters look ignorant.

Once, 12 years ago.

When else did he engage in "job hopping"? And don't say going from FAU after 3 years to an SEC program. Literally any Group of 5 coach would do that.

He is a job hopper. Always looking for the next best thing. I believe most major programs see that. You hire him and he will be gone at next opportunity. Just like what he did while at Tennessee.

Repeating something on message boards over and over doesn’t make something true.

Raiders - fired
Ten - left for his dream job in USC. Was always his dream job, never denied it.
USC - fired
Oc at Bama - left for a hc job (took less money)
FAU - left for sec hc
Ole Mis

Finally. A poster in this thread with a football IQ higher than that of a head of cabbage.

How do you know a guy’s character? The rest of the league is shocked and your own fan base is beating their chest that your coach didn’t bolt when he hasn’t even finished 2 years.

Because he believes he’s building a major program at Ole Miss. and he’s making major program money.

Maybe Ole Miss isn't a bad job. He's gotten then to 10 wins in his 2nd year, about to coach in a top-tier bowl game, and he seems to be recruiting well.

He's in the best division of the best conference in college football and seems to be thriving. I would expect it to take quite a plum job to get him to leave.

Miami offers an easier path toward consistent national title contention.

People keep saying this and it is baffling. It is about on par with saying SMU will be a national title contender.

Miami had a good run 1983-1991. The last NC came during the BCS era and they did not get to face a solid TN team thanks to LSU. Both LSU and TN more than likely beat Miami that year.

So he beat your prediction in his 2nd year. fricking Bama bitches

The difference is that Miami can build a great team with just local/ state talent.

Why has nobody been able to in close to 20 years??

Can you provide more details on why?

As weird as it seems, considering the red flags other coaches have regarding their personal behavior, etc. he has left a sour enough taste in AD offices that they want to see him mature a bit. I think they just don't trust him enough to throw a contract at him, especially considering the gargantuan contracts that are seeming to become the norm now.

What? The 2001 Miami team is routinely listed as one of if not the greatest college football teams of all time. No such designation is made for the 2001 Vols and Tigers.

Miami had a great run which has only been rivaled a few times in history. They weren't just good - they were great. They won four national championships in eight seasons.

With that said, I see why Kiffin isn't bolting for Coral Gables.

So, it looks like he's sucked so bad, he gets fired everywhere he goes? We all know Saban was tired of him.

And you know what. If that’s the angle you pitch, it’ll get much better traction and reaction than Lane the job hopper.

You can’t be a bad coach and also a job hopper always gunning for the next big thing.
