Does Miami even actually give a shite about football? Does their administration care if they're competitive? Do their fans attend games at that stadium that's off-campus?

Donna Shalala basically killed football but she's no longer there. Read up on her. She pretty much let the city tear down the Orange Bowl after the city offered to pay 200 million to upgrade the OB. She thought luxury suites in pro players would a better atmosphere. She stopped letting ex-athletes come to the sidelines, she handcuffed the coaches on recruits. She basically wanted to 180 from the dirty boys and try to become known for academics like a Rice or Vandy over football.

Miami is like USC, there is other stuff to do in town. It's easier to watch on TV whcih both probably have a bigger national brand. Very fair weather.

Miami is like that as is USC. If you are winning they have great atmospheres

Unlike almost all SEC towns there is way way way to much to do in those cities besides college football. Again go to Miami with $5-$10k to blow in a weekend and you will understand how fun it is. There a reason celebrities flock to the city.

SEC towns for the most part have nothing or very little to do on a Saturday besides college football

Yes…at Ole Miss.
this is the real reason these fans of the big6 SEC schools are desperate to see him leave Ole Miss

USC and Miami have weak fanbases with a lot of bandwagon fans. USC used to have a strong fan support but California cares more a bout the pros than college sports. Miami is a pro city that has a stadium not on campus.

They have an easier path but they will always come up short concerning the weak schedules they face.

He still has some maturing to do IMO... I'm not sure if he will ever get there, lol.

all the pro sports in Miami SUCK. If the Cane's were winning with ex-players all over the sidelines they'd flock to the games- ESPECIALLY if they ever build an on-campus stadium.

He will be the Miami football coach in 2023.

And Florida State is going to hire Deion.

The Miami/FSU rivalry will be awesome again.

The talk of ‘Kiff is a hot commodity !! He took an OM team fresh off probation to 10 wins and a NY6 berth !!! There’s no way they can keep him with Florida , Miami and USC opening up !! ’’ In less than 2 weeks that has morphed into ‘He actually ain’t shite. 6-2 in the toughest division in the toughest conference don’t really matter !! Plus he’s immature and likes frickin whores too much !!! ‘. It’s been amazing to watch.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. If his name is coming up that means he’s doing something to warrant it

He is getting paid extremely well to mature and win at OM while being the heir to Nick Saban at Alabama.

The wise people here already know this either in fact or intuitively. He's not going to Miami. He's going to Bama when the time comes. He can win 6 to 12 games per year (depending on the year) without much turmoil at Ole Miss while Saban finishes his career.

Some years after he goes to Bama, OM will hire Kiffin's eventual successor. Rinse and repeat until the end of all things comes.

Kiffin will go to the league, not another college team.

Because this is the first time where he actually improved in season 2 from season 1. Let’s see him do it again without Corrall.

Out of the three programs that were clear upgrades over the Ole Miss job (Florida, LSU, USC), two of them made grand slam hires and the third landed the most promising young G5 HC candidate on the market.

Holy shite you are delusional!

What has Lincoln done? He coached in a cupcake conference and makes playoffs due to that only to get consistently steamrolled by teams that can field a defense.

And Kelly is the biggest ho-hum hire ever. I mean who can’t make a great record consistently playing Army, Navy, ACC teams and USC of late. Remember he got beat by Cinci this year….the team that struggled to beat Tulane…..l
