What's the specific Miami draw for Kiffin?
We are comparing any potential destination with his current employer. Let's start there.
Miami offers an easier path toward consistent national title contention. Ole Miss will likely never be better than the fourth or fifth-best SEC program, and that's without including Oklahoma or Texas making life a lot harder in the SEC. Does that really matter? Riley just set those dynamics in motion and he was willing to leave a job considered historically great.
The Hurricanes program is a goldmine if run well, which it obviously hasn't been in a long period of time. Contrary to popular belief there is no expiration date on these football programs that can harvest their own backyard. Is sleeping giant too over the top for Miami? Nope.

Because he’s a pill popping freak.

He’ll be a single multimillionaire on South Beach. You think that’s not what he’s looking at?

My comment was based on the potential of Kiffin at Oxford. There can be outliers associated with a season, but he isn't busting through the SEC ceiling at that program. My best advice, given his recruiting and momentum, is strike while the Matt Corral iron is hot.
Kiffin can climb too much greater heights, and quicker, at Coral Gables. That translates to many Matt Corrals and plenty of better options to throw to.
And frankly, this guy has always come off as kind of transient in nature. I do believe this is one job the Lane Train would take.

Correct.
Simpletons will just point towards us having Matt Corral at quarterback without also acknowledging glaring depth issues at Offensive line and our entire defense.
Obviously we'll take a step back next season at the QB position but it's an incredibly easy assumption to say depth issues should be improved upon each season.

He’s an immature dumbass

Miami hasn't been relevant since before the last time Tennessee has been relevant.
....and Tennessee is worried about their coach using them as a stepping stone to Oklahoma.
sLeEpInG gIaNt Miami just as much as Tennessee and Nebraska. Eventually you find out the giant isn't sleeping and, in fact, just dead.

I believe Kiffin stays at Ole Miss. He is a cultural fit there and the fans love him and the administration will pay for him to stay.
Blue blood programs might want to see if he can beat a great team and not 2 wins over 8-4 teams before hiring him.. but either way. He has turned the Ole Miss program around.

The difference is that Miami can build a great team with just local/ state talent. That is a huge advantage over Tennessee and Nebraska who little if any local talent to sign.
Same reason why LSU is such an attractive job.

But unlike Tennessee and especially Nebraska, Miami is a goldmine for recruiting. Mismanagement shouldn't be confused with a Florida pipeline that needs a simple rotor rooter job to start flowing again.

Such a overused lazy incorrect general statement of him.
Raiders--FIRED Didnt choose to leave on his own
Tennessee--LEFT for "Dream Job" USC (I mean who wouldnt leave UT for USC)
USC--FIRED Didnt choose to leave.
Bama--OC went to G5 team to be HC (Wow a OC left to be a HC never heard of that)
FAU-- Left G5 school to go to SEC P5 school (Wow again what HC wouldnt do that)
Only school he actually did bad was leaving Tennessee for USC. But again who wouldnt leave that shithole? Every other move was normal moves you would expect from a coach.
His issue is that he became a NFL coach in his early 30's in kind of a reverse order. So things just seem weird for him.

Miami won a NC in 2001.
That’s after TN was relevant.
Remind me again when OM won a NC?
Miami can get better players, much better city, easier path to the playoffs and just as many fans in the stadium if they are good (neither OM nor Miami get a ton of fan support).
They also have a great freshman QB sitting there.
The right coach can have Miami contending for a playoff spot every year just off local talent.
Now is the perfect time as well because Florida and FSU are down.
It doesn’t appear Diaz will be getting fired this year though

Ok, he left Tennessee after one year. But since?
Fired from USC...not job hopping.
Left Alabama as an OC to become a head coach...not job hopping.
Left FAU after 3 years to become an SEC head coach. No one can blame him for that.
Say what you want about his antics, but job hopping isn't a description that fits his resumé the last 13 years.

Big non-P5 program? Non-P5? You mean FAU? He won two conference championships.

He took a team that was 5-7 the year before and went 7-6. That's not "nothing".

He went 10-2 in year 2, and the team he was fired from went 10-4 and likely would have done the same had they not fired him. Again, that's not "nothing".
For some reason, the topic of Lane Kiffin causes posters to just start pulling stuff out of their asses to post about him. Weird.
