Golfer1: "They just need to find 'the right coach'"
Miami has been to one BCS/CFP bowl in 20 years. Ole Miss is about to go to their 3rd in that same span.
Miami built a legacy off of playing in a dogshit Big East and then went to mediocrity as soon as they went to the ACC. The same coach that won the Natty in 2001 ended up getting fired for going 7-6 in the ACC a few years later. So was he not "the right coach"? If so then we should ignore that championship seeing as how it was a fluke.

Yes. The more 5* football players you have....typically translates into having to take less risks.

Umm they won a NC in 2001. I’m not asking you to go back to the 60s or 70s.
They also went 12-0 in 2002 and 11-2 in 2003. Lost by 7 in 2002 NC
They went 10-2 in 2017 (were in the Hunt until the last week of the year)
Remind me the last time OM won an outright NC? Can’t find one anywhere in football or any other mens sport.
OM can’t even win the West. So bad they hang co division banner in their HS stadium.
Not sure how an OM fan can clown on Miami for winning a NC when they don’t have one ever.
You clown on Miami for not being a NC contender in 20 years. Although they played for one in 2002 as well and were in the hunt in 2003 as well as 2017
OM has never been a NC contender. They aren’t even a SECC contender ever.
Again Miami with the right coach has an easier route to the playoffs and ability to recruit within a 200 mile radius
Congrats on your first EVER 10 win regular season.

7 pages and counting. The SECr's obsession with Kiffin is glorious. Brian Kelly can't even steal the spotlight from Kiffin on the day of his introductory press conference

His record as a head coach is abysmal.

I'm not clowning on Miami's history. I'm clowning on you. Constantly repeating yourself without actually being able to refute my argument is a pretty big tell.
But yeah I'm sure a recruit's parent could tell him some great stories about when Miami was once an elite program.

lol wut?
He's 77-41. That's hardly "abysmal".

Break down each time he's switched jobs, what position he had vs position at new job, and whether he left on his own or fired/forced out.

With all this Miami talk I found myself seriously wondering...
Does Miami even actually give a shite about football? Does their administration care if they're competitive? Do their fans attend games at that stadium that's off-campus?

It's like the only thing they know about Lane Kiffin is that he went 7-6 at UT and left.
literally zero effort into researching wtf they're talking about.

Hold up your right hand.. extend fingers.
That is how many years MAX Saban has before he retires. I’d feel safe to subtract the thumb.

You just wait....with the right coach they'll win a Super Bowl.

You're expecting a Bama fan to be able to count to 5?

Miami is the most fair weather fanbase in college football. Lose and it’s a library in the stadium… win and it’s comparable to any atmosphere in the country.

That’s why I used the “dis many” example.

Because of things like the popcorn line before the Bama game. I think a lot of places look at things like going for it on 4th down on the OM side of the 50 as a negative too. It looks great when it works but it got him blown out by Bama. That kind of stuff will work at a place like OM but the big blue blood programs want a head coach not a head gambler.
