Because it levels the playing field and they wanted it all for themselves .

So an elite athlete will transfer to a lesser program so that he will stand out more?

If an “elite” player transfers to Georgia or Florida or USC or Oregon, I don’t think they’re going to experience the drop off you’re describing

Level playing field now. They no longer have the advantage that they have been having due to Saban being the best at working the system.

Been hearing how rule changes were going to do this for 50 years.

And not a single time has it actually worked out. Instead, they always do the opposite of what people claim.

This.

The REC had it down to a science while keeping it hidden.

Alabama defensive back Ga’Quincy "Kool-Aid" McKinstry will soon begin selling a non-fungible token for $750 through SkyBox Sports.

Apparently the NFT also comes with “admission to an Alabama home game from Kool-Aid’s personal tickets,” according to CBS Sports.

I'm pretty sure selling your ticket allotment is still a no-no. Bama compliance better start reeling things in. (Yeah right.)

Good question. They shouldn't be. Saban will figure out how to take full advantage of NIL and continue to dominate until he is 85 and retires.

Yes if history is any indicator, Saban will struggle to adapt and will be playing catch up to the coaching giants in this conference.

If you think this is a disadvantage to Bama than I don’t know what to tell you…

The rich are going to get richer with this

This will negatively impact LSU the most, so it’s awesome. NIL is greatness.

As several experts have pointed out, Alabama is about 10 steps ahead of everyone putting in place a system to educate, monitor and aid student-athletes with NIL.

Alabama's "The Advantage" and COMPASS systems are in place, and just like everything else Alabama does, they will turn it into an advantage, do it better and be the trendsetter.

LOL!!! As long as Saban is at Alabama, then Alabama will continue to be the most organized program is sports.

The NIL will be a major advantage at Alabama, just like everything else has been under Saban.

I’m not sure why but when I turned on the Gump News Network (GNN) they said to act concerned today.

Allowing lineman 3 yards down field will stop Alabama.

Bama can't get into the playoffs without winning their division again let's have a CFP.

Bama plays an easy schedule.....we lead the nation in Top 10 match ups over the past 15 years.

Bama only plays neutral site games....Bama has several home and home against traditional blue bloods.

Bama doesn't put QBs in the NFL... possibly might have 3 Bama Graduates that start this season as QB1.

Yes pin your hopes on NIL

History has proven that All football powers eventually fall. Miami, FSU, Nebraska...
Not sure if NIL will do it but eventually the gumps will return to mediocrity

Because old arse fans are worried it could even the playing field. It negates some of the rules they have constantly skirted/broken recently that they have never been brought to bear on.

You can see it on tRant too. It’s mainly older folks wailing and gnashing teeth
