Its just the older fans and Im sure its not just Alabama fans. Just old dudes getting mad regardless of fandom.

If you all think this will negatively effect any of the bigger schools like Bama, LSU, Florida, etc, then you are just wishfully thinking.

Nick Saban will take advantage of it just as much as the next guy. Hes proven to be the GOAT and this wont stop him, just empower him and others like him more

But here's to holding out hope! Ready for the great fall of Nick Saban and Bama to follow

Because you don’t need to secretly pay kids and their families table under the money to go play in your dump of a state. Now kids can get paid legally which opens up their options, especially options to start immediately and still get paid.

Gumps don’t want parity after the run they’ve been on.

Anyone who believes this kind of shite is an idiot.

Same kind of idiot who thought the transfer portal would make it so Alabama would lose players, and Alabama fans were scared since they were against it.

Reality - Alabama has greatly benefited from the portal and it was yet another case of the rich getting richer. Now we trade the top players at other schools for the ones who didn't make it.

So now, it's just kid goes to small school, gets trained and does well, he can then transfer to a school like Alabama for more exposure and a chance to win a national championship.

Kid who doesn't make the cut at Alabama transfers to smaller school for playing time.

Add in this NIL, and in addition to all that, the players are also going to get more money on top of it. Even more incentive for the top teams to get the best players.

Meanwhile, since donor money will start going towards players, the schools will probably start cutting back on other sports. Because that is where the extra revenue actually went.

The NCAA was putting 180,000 kids on scholarship every year at a price of about 3.5 billion dollars. I wonder how much that number is going to drop over the next few years without the revenue to back it.

Finished with what?

Alabama's average is being #1 in all categories in the SEC. All Saban did was put even more distance between Alabama and everyone else.

Alabama's 100-plus history pre-Saban is being a top 5 program.

LSU's pre-Saban history is non-existent.

LOL and dumbass posters that think Nike will only help Oregon.

If they gave a say in it they push to any program on the top. To bad LSU is not and I understand why it bothers you.

What's hilarious is some of these idiots really think this levels the playing field when it's actually more separation.

Nike has long had it's hands in Oregon Football. People don't factor in exposure and coverage with dealing with the NIL.

Do you go to a Clemson, OSU or Alabama and get developed properly and are National brands which more sponsors flock to. Versus going to an off brand college because they promised you a few grand to say the 7/11 hotdogs taste good.

Do you want spokesman playing in primetime each Saturday and in CFP every year or do you want someone who teams are 11am games that hardly no one watches.

Alabama will be at the top of NIL too.

You have to care about the program, have a willing booster base and be a highly visible program.

In Los Angeles, UCLA is maybe 7th on the list for people there. Their booster bade isn't motivated or they'd have better facilities. And no one watches them on TV.

Meanwhile Alabama is the most-watched team in TV ratings, its booster base has driven it to have top 3 facilities.

Moral of the story. Doesn't matter where you're located if no one cares.

A company like Nike will go after the best players in the country- and they haven’t been at Oregon. If this was last year, I’m sure sunshine would have had a Nike deal. They would want the most recognizable player.

I'll ask the same question Saban asked almost a decade ago. Is this what we want college football to be? If so...then so be it. Because the elite teams are going to thrive off of NIL. The rich will get richer at the expense of the G5 and smaller P5 schools. My problem with NIL is that it is going to marginalize the non-blue bloods even more than they already are. You think parity is bad now? Wait until NIL and the 12-team playoff really get going.

That is what so many do not understand is they will get the best and could care less what program it is unless that program is wearing something else other then Nike like aTm.

This may turn into an Arms race for the companies like Nike.

You talking just football or all sports?

You’re an inbred, walmart T-shirt wearing sidewalk fan so of course you’re just talking football.

Pay the players. Bama will do it better. Can’t wait to see NIL billboards in Baton Rouge showing Devonta Smith burning Stingley. Let the billboard rental income line Devonta’s pockets.

Level playing field now. They no longer have the advantage that they have been having due to Saban being the best at working the system.

Exactly! If there is one thing we know about Saban is that he has trouble adapting and figuring out how to use new rules/conditions to his advantage. Saban is finished.

You’re right. Why should an elite athlete go to another program when he can get a free Dodge Charger and fly clothes from T Town menswear?
