Brown's numbers are ridiculous. You have to admit that.

yes. I get the sense Golesh will pound the rock against every weak defense on the schedule.

That's what I would do.

If Florida gets good QB play out of whoever wins the battle they could be the most underrated in the SEC currently. Baugh is a known commodity.

As for the best I wouldn't count out LSU, but Ole Miss is the favorite.

Mizzu dominated the SEC teams in rushing last season so maybe Mizzu if Simmons is the real deal.

Simmons was not much of a running threat last year. He's not slow, but he isn't quick. If Mizzu can protect him in the pocket he has a rocket of a arm though.

Simmons has the talent to shatter records but he also has the ability to get rattled. I wish him the best and will be rooting for him, just not against us.

Numbers are good but a deeper dive shows you that against good teams with talent he will see this year, he isn't as ridiculous, no?

As a LSU fan I would. I think our running game will be much improved but it will in no way be near the top of the SEC. I think we will be balanced but we just dont have that traditional LSU big time back. Id love to be wrong and maybe Durham turns it around or one of the new guys. I just think we spend the beginning of the season figuring out how to run the offense. I think this is an Ole Miss Georgia fight for the top spot.

Of course not, but he also wasn't playing behind a P4 O-line. Those numbers show talent.

Aaron Philo probably. Buster Faulkner recruited him to Tech and thought highly enough of him to bring him with him to Florida.

We aren't really running the GT offense you saw with Haynes King. It will be more of an air raid style.

Tramell Jones isn't making it easy on Philo though, and Tramell had a better spring game.

The staff has said Philo had a better spring overall, though.

Think about if Kewan Lacy had stayed at Mizzou. Would be an all time 1-2 punch with him and Hardy.

So, burst my bubble...who's backfield will be better?

Ole Miss
LSU
A&M
Texas
Florida
Bama
MIzzou

will end up with better backfields this year

Ole Miss is so far ahead of UGA at those two positions. I don't know how you made this thread with a straight face.

Dont follow other schools like I do LSU but have listened to a few national media heads that love Miss State backfield and argue that its probably first in the league. When I heard this I admit I was shocked. I assumed Ole Miss with Lacy alone making them top tier but media loves them some state.

I think Taylor is a talented player but he has a long ways to go as a passer and they don't have a ton of talent around him. He's also coming off of a (minor) ankle surgery though he's expected to be fine.

I'll be interested to see if Kiffin can bring Durham back to life, and get the most out of Berry.

I mean, those 2 backs played in the worst designed, worst coached, worst executed rushing game in LSU history. Their stock can only go up.

Also, keep an eye on transfer Dilin Jones from Wisconsin.

We have Lacy and Chambliss, which isn't too shabby.

Chambliss: 3,937 passing, 22TDs with 527 rushing yards, 8TDs
Lacy: 1,567 yds rushing and 24 TDs
But your Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Quarterback Coach and Runningback Coach aint around any longer.

Replacement RB Coach Frank Wilson is a great recruiter (Not needed any longer with NIL) but a really bad in-game RB Coach. Most LSU fans were glad to see him go.

It will be interesting to see what happens.
