Interesting. Cause like with USC, it's literally either or. Like they either hate ND or UCLA and could really care less so much about the other. So its interesting that you can see a fanbase that really doesnt like two schools equally

Auburn has a very similar setup with us and Georgia.

Lies. Auburn is the bigger rival by a landslide.

For decades beating Auburn didn’t mean anything. They weren’t any good. They had no name recognition. Auburn was bad far longer than the 12 years Tennessee has been down. People knew who General Neyland was. People knew who Johnny Majors was. Nobody outside the Deep South knew who Shug Jordan was. Nobody cared. It didn’t mean shite to beat a 4-6 Auburn team. It meant a lot to beat a 6-1 Tennessee team.

And, for anyone who says Tennessee doesn't matter, let us lose to them once and see how that changes. Kids in college now literally don't remember what losing to Tennessee is like, led alone losing multiple games in a row.

Oh the absolute hell that would be unleashed by both sides.

Agree to disagree. The Iron Bowl is the most heated rivalry in all of sports. We share the same state so we have to work together, attend church together and even live together. There's no escaping the bragging rights. Because Tennessee has been so bad lately, a lot of fans and players view the TSIO as just another game. That would never happen on either side of the Iron Bowl.

Depends largely on the age of the fan and what part of the state they're from. People in north Alabama tend to hate Tennessee more than people from central or southern Alabama.

No, but some of you LSU fans want to think your team is more important to Alabama than it really is.

Living in Farragut, I definitely consider Tennessee more of a rival than Auburn.

In my humble opinion, I believe it’s a generational thing. If you grew up when Tennessee was winning and relevant then they are the bigger rival. On the hand if you’re a millennial you probably see Auburn as the bigger rival. The late 80’s, 90’s and early 00’s I think the Tennessee/Alabama game was as big as OSU/Michigan game.

Millennials came of age during the Fulmer years and the lost Bama decade.

The next generation would be the one who might not get the Tennessee thing.
