Yet Fla vs Tenn was a bigger matchup during this time.

Which means next to nothing in this context

Zactly. I think what most outside fans don't get is that both Bammers and Tenners think back much further than they do. We are old school and I don't think that will change any time soon.

It's so damned weird to me how much other people insist that we really aren't rivals. I assume it comes from the permanent cross divisional thing, but it's so damn strange.

It was cute for a while but let's be real. LSU hasn't been a threat to Bama for the last 7 years. To act like this is a schedule problem is to ignore the obvious. If anything, Tennessee should be complaining about TSIO. We don't because we know how this game goes.

OP should have asked this question a much simpler way. Which picture makes you more angry as a Bama fan?

Tennessee wants to play it every year now just like we did during our miserable years and Tennessee's good ones, because only losers run away from their rival.

This is the truth. As much as I joke about resting our starters, I'd be pissed as hell if we did anything other than fight like hell. Yes, we'll probably lose but that's not the point.

I've said it before but If they ever destroy our game like Oklahoma and Nebraska it would seriously change the way I look at CFB.

I mean, no Alabama/Tennessee game? Just make it the fvckin NFL.

I have never witnessed folks from fan bases outside of Alabama and Tennessee get so twisted up about a rivalry that they have no part in Since I've been on this forum, every time TSIO comes up, tears get to rollin.

TSIO will go on forever. Both these programs been going at it, almost non stop, from the beginning.

To me, it's college football. Yes, it's weird in that it's streaky as hell but lots of things about CFB are weird. That's what makes it special. Plus, if we're truly being honest, there's not a dime's worth of difference between N. AL and E. TN. and I think that only adds to the hate

Yes it will. And nobody gives a shite what the rest of them think anyway, because we built and run this conference anyway.

I hate Tennessee but they have great history and tradition. I want them to be good because it makes the TSIO better. Tennessee being good is good for the SEC.

In regards to Auburn, frick them. I hope they lose every game.

I’m not reading this whole thread but the saying goes that we hate Auburn because we have to. We hate Tennessee because we choose to.
The rivalry with UT has more tradition and for us older fans it is the biggest rival. But the truth is that this long streak of wins over the hillbillies coupled with the Camback and the kick 6 has elevated the Iron Bowl to greater importance.
Bryant always saw the UT rivalry as the biggest of the two so us old fans maintain that tradition but Auburn has been competitive while Tennessee has not.
I would say in modern times, Auburn has surpassed Tennessee as the biggest rivalry simply because Tennessee has fallen to irrelevance.
