They really aren't. I mean, just last season, they were bumped out of the playoff at the last minute. That would not have happened to either Michigan or Ohio State.

Human nature, give anyone special treatment and ppl will grow to resent you. Notre dame has exclusive deal with nbc, the broadcast team is paid to hype nd, unlike fox and ESPN which hype a conference. Bcs/playoff representation, when meetings take place every conference gets a rep that does what’s best for a group of school. Nd has a school rep looking out for only notre dame’s benefit. Being a wealthy prestigious private school doesn’t help the image either. There’s honestly a lot to hate on if that’s your thing.
