2023 – probably 80 percent

2018 – probably 20 percent (Clemson was hell that year)

2017 – 1,000 percent

2012 – 99 percent (would've played Notre Dame)

2003 - maybe 15 percent

All of the SECW teams were negatively affected by Saban. Look at the massive amount of turnover in head coaches over the last 15 years. Aub 5, OM 4, Arky 5, A&M (11 years) 3, LSU 3, State 6. Now some of that was by other circumstances but mostly it was trying to raise our own bars to match Bama.
And for the most part we all failed with a single exception of Auburn and LSU.
Going forward Bama will still be Bama and good but the intimidation factor is now gone.

An argument could be made for Florida. We beat Bama for the 2008 SEC Championship and went on to win the Natty. Saban then went full salted earth revenge tour and knocked us off the throne in 2009 and we have never recovered.

Definitely LSU. Take away playing Bama and the Vols still don't play in the SEC title game over 16 seasons.

2008: 4-4 instead of 3-5
2009: 5-3 instead of 4-4
2010: 4-4 instead of 3-5
2011: 2-6 instead of 1-7
2012: 2-6 instead of 1-7
2013: 3-5 instead of 2-6
2014: 4-4 isntead of 3-5
2015: 6-2 instead of 5-3 (East winner was 7-1)
2016: 5-3 instead of 4-4 (East winner was 6-2)
2017: 1-7 instead of 0-8
2018: 3-5 instead of 2-6
2019: 6-2 instead of 5-3 (East winner was 7-1)
2020: 4-6 instead of 3-7
2021: 5-3 instead of 4-4
2022: beat Bama but still lost to SCar and 8-0 UGA
2023: 5-3 instead of 4-4

2003-you saying 15 percent bc ou and usc would be in title game? Bc there is no way ou had an 85 percent chance of beating you guys. I'd say 03 uga 03 ou are about 50/50

as an LSU fan I’ve been satisfied with our success

When people ask what sets Alabama and other top tier programs in the SEC apart, this is the answer right here: expectations. Kalen DeBoer could average 9-10 wins per season but if he isn't consistently beating Auburn, getting to the SEC Championship Game, or getting us into the 12-team playoff, we'll fire his arse.

Valid point.

LSU was chomping at the bit to fire Miles after that BCS championship, because "we were slipping".
This was after 1 title for Saban, 1 for Miles, and then that second appearance. And Miles WAS still chugging along at 9-10 wins a season.

The bar at Bama is so, so much higher. I can't imagine the intensity of outrage the first time DeBoer loses a game, and God help him if/when he loses more than 2 in a season.

Not only did he beat them 16 years in a row, but because of Alabama's success, now Mississippi State fans think they have the right to talk just by association

At least we beat him. But Saban did get several high profile recruits that we would have gotten otherwise. Most notably Jalen Hurts and Raekwon Davis.

Program - Georgia
I gotta disagree.

Richt was going to Richt regardless of who was in Tuscaloosa or anywhere else in the conference.

Kirby wouldn't have made UGA into what it is without his time working for Saban.

He was great for Bama but they will look back and say we had to roll with it but he put us in a bad situation the way he left.

That was the only State team that played Saban that hadn't lost the game before it started.

Gosh, I hope not. You can’t measure any coach or any program to what the GOAT did.

Our current coach will do fine - He’s one of the best up-and-coming coaches. But he will never be Coach Saban.

When Tennessee is up, GUMP is down.

When GUMP is up, Tennessee is down.

Some things never change (which is why GUMP is so worried about NICO and want desperately for him to be ruled ineligible lol)

After the way his retirement went, it may turn out to be Bama.
All these years they had everyone fooled thinking they had some elaborate succession thing planned with one of the more successful ex-assistants, (Kirby and Sark said no, not sure Dabo was contacted) and Saban throws a wrench in the works. It was glorious, lol.

The answer is Florida.

Took down Urban, made him quit then the recruiting he did in Florida.
The list of players from Florida to Bama looks like an elite all-star team.
