I hate UGA, but at least I can kinda respect them on some levels. A little.

FSU can burn in Hell for the rest of eternity and it wouldn't be long enough suffering. And there's not one single thing to even respect about them, not even the conference they play in.

Every single FSU fan I have ever met or was forced to be around either through work or mutual friendships was either an a-hole or eventually showed their true colors as an a-hole.

Y’all barely beat Florida, miss state and OU by 10 and you think ole Miss beats Texas by 20 bwahahaha

Uhhhh, Ole Miss did not beat Florida this year. We upset them in our house. I witnessed it in person with my own eyeballs.
Eh, we won our bowl game. That was all we could contribute.

Which bowl is FSU in this year?
Damn, I don't like you guys, but I love seeing that. Hope even more baby puke orange pours in.
You seem mad for no particular reason. Everything okay, baw?

Look at Vandy getting some love!

What do you mean by "welcomes back?"

They're gonna be honored at the Kentucky game this Saturday: https://www.wruf.com/headlines/2024/08/28/1984-gators-to-be-welcomed-prior-to-game-against-kentucky/

The University Athletic Association announced Tuesday it will welcome back Florida’s first on-field SEC Championship team for the home game against Kentucky. The team members will participate in Gator Walk and be recognized on the field during the game.
Well, dunno about the other sports this weekend but football is versus Kentucky. We traditionally are expected to wear the opposite color when the opposing team shares one of ours, so orange against Kentucky, blue against Tennessee, etc. If there is no shared color, then wear whatever you want.

One of my HS coaches lost his shite on the refs and cost us a game. Neither he nor any of the other coaches ever said a word about it after the game.

Many years later, I looked him up online and found his testimony about getting sober.

We knew our coaches had issues, but didn't really know what functional alcoholics were yet, or how they can be up and around and going thru all the motions but not remember it later.

Makes me think of Kevin Sumlin at A&M. Rumors were swirling by his final year, but I don't think anyone knew he was "get arrested driving blackout drunk" bad. It's not always obvious.

Wonder if it may be onset of CTE? How many blows did he take to the head as a player? Doesn't CTE cause memory and behavioral issues like extra aggression?
Depends on the individuals and their overall disposition, compatibility, and all the usual factors for any positive relationship.

I was 20 when I met my (now) husband when he was 33. We kinda both cluelessly danced around each other for a year not realizing we both had crushes on each other (or, at least, not taking the next step to act on said crushes). A year later, we got past that shite and started dating. A year later, we got married. And we’ll be celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary later this month.
I'd reschedule or go anywhere else. One of my BFFs lives in Orlando (I'm in St. Augustine) and the last time a hurricane went over them like this is predicted to, there were a TON of trees down on power lines and houses everywhere. Yeah, Disney is pretty fast to open stuff back up once determined safe, but I gotta imagine there may be limited staffing, too, because the people who work at Disney live in Orlando and are gonna have their own post-hurricane damage/issues to deal with.

Go now and fill your vehicles and gas cans.

Yuppers, did that yesterday as well as the liquor and grocery store run for extra supplies. Husband's firing up the generator today to make sure that's hopefully still good to roll.

Then bring the lawn projectiles into the garage Tuesday and play the waiting game.

Be safe.

That'll be hard to do in Austin.

While I agree, I suspect he meant the original SEC UT - Tennessee - who we play in Knoxville next weekend.
Just south of you guys in St. Augustine. Wind picking up. Keep staring at radars waiting on this thing to start going more north rather than northeast and wondering…
Is Helene still having trouble forming a proper eye?

Also, genuinely curious what prevents or fights a hurricane from forming an eye?

imagine something like this happening 100 years or so ago, where in the span of <30 hours you would go from a tranquil fall day to 130 mph winds and 18 foot storm surges with absolutely no warning

I imagine at some point your body would feel that big pressure drop, but by then it’s too late of a warning to react to it.
Usually try to make 2 home games a year.

Did A&M already this year. Questioning doing a second because that sure is a lotta time, driving, money, and other annoyances to watch a shite-arse product. Sigh.
I was at the game. You guys manhandled us from start to finish. Our scores came in the second half when things had largely already been decided and your team called off the dogs.
Sure, Lake Alice in the dark at night should set you straight.
