LSU didn't force A&M into a lot of obvious passing downs so they really couldn't unleash him. Game script let A&M neutralize him.

Georgia will just put Darnell Washington on the end of the line of scrimmage and that'll take care of the problem.

it's not excuses

Lol. It was a paragraph of excuses.

If no one is doing their jobs, one defensive player isn't going to be able to do much,

It sounds like Perkins isn't physical and let his team down. It sounds like he was the one not doing his job.

It's also as if people don't even know what position he plays

So he doesn't have to tackle the ballcarrier?
He doesn't have to shed blocks?
Now all this crap from the past few weeks is making sense. Of course lsu fans think he is the best defensive player in the SEC. He has no responsibility on the field for a running play. And he has minimal impact on passing downs.

No, it was a paragraph at how he was neutralized. A&M was running the ball off tackle and were rarely ever in passing downs. Perkins is an OLB whose job is to get into the backfield. He's not a run stuffing MLB. When teams are running the ball away from you and not passing the ball, why would you expect an outside speed rusher to make an impact?

Fixed it for you. This thread wasn’t started by an A&M fan, by the way.

Wow.
Lol

Other posters are saying that the offense was running right at him.
Now you are saying that the offense is running away from him.
And the reality is that he made little to no impact on any of those plays.

1) OLB has to set the edge. Even if you play for LSU. Ask Florida about Brenton Cox and why he was dismissed from 2 football teams.
2) a speedy OLB has to chase plays from behind when they run away from him.

When playing a great defensive edge player, it is usually best to scheme a double-team at the point of attack. That way you get two hats to help neutralize the defender. Running the opposite direction is often playing to the great edge player's strengths (get off at the line of scrimmage, speed on pursuit, and just make a hustle play with little opposition).

LSU fans are great. This is extremely entertaining.

I didn't watch the game.

Why should I? Lol

I haven't watched lsu all season.
I come here to listen from lsu fans about how great their team is every week. And then I get their laundry list of excuses why the best player in the conference shouldn't be considered the best player in the conference.

All I know about lsu is from your fans on here.

They maybe don't comment on what happened in the game (and argue incessantly about it) if you didn't even watch it. Just a thought

I don't have to watch the game to make comments about lsu fans.

You are slow on the takes.

Perkins is overrated by the lsu fanbase. They think he has no job on the field but to rush the passer.
Every time he doesn't record a sack is the offensive coordinator scheming against him.

It's odd how you act like the only people who think Perkins is a great player are LSU fans.

He's a true freshman still learning the defense, they basically just put him out there to chase the ball.

If you’re gonna use that meme and imply that was the final score, you should at least use the final score. Seems kinda disingenuous.

Do you need a list of LSU fans who think he is unstoppable? The greatest defender in the SEC?

LSU fans are no different than the Tennessee fans whose dick gets hard after scoring 9 touchdowns against UT-Martin. The hubris is glorious.

What is really hilarious is how much Perkins was despised by the LSU fan base after he committed to A&M. I mean they said he was a moron, bought and paid for, the lowest of scum.

I guess if he keeps having outings like he did on Saturday, they can just go back to hating the dude.

that wasn't even Harold Perkins' area to take care of, dude sprinted from the middle of the field to make a play and was able to knock Achane off balance from the side after shedding a block from #3 that let teammates make the easy finishing tackle
