I got a voodoo princess in Louisiana to put a hex on Fat Phil and the orange puke years ago. The best money I ever spent.

They use to be a top team. So what happened to them? Since those days they seem to be broken.

Let's be honest. The reliable answer for who broke team "X" in the SEC (and CFB at large for the most part) has been Coach Saban for the last 20 years.

Juju after the program allowed Fulmer to stab Majors in the back.

Tennessee came into the SEC championship game expecting an easy win and a trip to the National Championship Game

LSU got a big win vaulting them into the program they are and UT has never been the same

I believe that I could bring Tennessee back.

Step 1 - Hire Saban
Contract: $200 million over 10 years

Step 2 - Win
Bonus: $2.5 million for each SEC Championship
Bonus: $5.0 million for each NC
Bonus: If he coaches all 10 years, he gets a $50 million bonus

Step 3 - Profit

Who says no?

I think you hit the nail on the head. The recruiting landscape changed quickly in the early to mid 2000's in Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio and the Carolinas where UT had been recruiting really well in the late 80's and through the 90's. Kiffin probably could have eventually helped them get to 9 to 10 wins a year with his recruiting ability, but he bolted.

Tennessee broke Tennessee. It’s their own incompetence and ignorance

Saban’s 70 and on his way to the pasture. But even in his prime he couldn’t revive a program like Tennessee. There are too many issues to fix.

Clint Stoener. His gift fumble allowed Tenner a ship they never should have had. It inflated Fulmer's ego made him lazy in many ways.
Taking care of the program took a backseat to taking care of Bama. Everything after snowballed on Tennessee every bad decision led to another. They will never be relevant again. Thank you Clint!!

Bad leadership and horrible coaching hires.

Also, Tennessee was recruiting heavily outside of Tennessee with Fulmer and getting 4 & 5 stars nationally. No one since has been able to do it and it shows.

Disagree, since Fulmer was fired Tennessee has signed 6-5*s and 87-4* from outside the state. There’s been plenty of talent. It’s just wasted by lack of development and shitty coaching.

In. We dragged them through the mud in 2004 in Knoxville. GameDay was there too. Their downfall was slow and sad. The future generations of recruits don’t even consider Tennessee as a top choice because they never recalled seeing them succeed at anything.

The Titans aren't even remotely close to Knoxville. And teams like Ohio State, UGA, and UF are doing fine even with multiple teams nearby

You could really feel the frickery in the air in Atlanta leading up to the SEC Championship game.

Too many folks walking around with roses.
