NFL: Raiders

I do pull BAMA baws on Sundays. It's hard not be a Redskins fan right now with a roster full of BAMA players, especially on defense.

I don't care about the rest.

What are each SEC teams general professional team allegiances?

I would say teams in the SEC are mostly Braves fans with some LSU/A&M fans rooting for the Astros and then Missouri rooting for the Cardinals. Not sure about Kentucky fans (the Reds maybe?).

As for the NFL, I think most on the gulf coast are Saints fans, A&M are Cowboys fans mostly I'd assume, the few close enough to Tenn are Titans fans, and most UGA fans are Falcons fans. I guess Auburn would probably be split between Falcons/Panthers.

For the NBA, I don't think there are really many regional alliances. I think people from in and around close proximity to cities with teams are fans of those teams and others root for random teams.

NHL, I don't think many people in the southeast really care about hockey outside people from Nashville (*I could get on my sopabox about how much they really care, but don't want to derail the thread)

MLS, like hockey, I think the most of the only people that follow MLS live in a city with a team

Me personally, I doubt I root for any of the same professional teams most LSU fans do, but I'm from Memphis and now live in Nashville. For me, I root for the Grizzlies, the Titans, anyone playing the Preds, and for baseball I used to be a big Mariners fan but my passion for MLB baseball pretty much died when Griffey retired, although I do watch the playoffs and loosely follow what's going on with former LSU players and will root for their teams to have success if in the playoffs (i.e. I have rooted for the Astros the past few years in the playoffs because of Bregman and Harris)

At nighttime the Cardinals radio station reaches across the whole central US and even into Canada and Mexico(and has for decade before baseball began expanding so much) so they have a lot too, you could probably draw a line somewhere in the east where the cardinals fandom ends and braves begins.

NFL: Falcons/Saints/Panthers (in that order)
NHL: n/a
MLS: see a decent amount of Atlanta United stuff around

I think it is more like this for Florida:

South Florida

Football: Dolphins
Basketball: Heat
Baseball: Braves/Marlins -Braves go way back. Spring training in WPB for decades
Hockey: Panthers

North and Central Florida

Football: Buc/Jags - Still lots of Buc fans in Jax area.
Basketball: Magic
Baseball: Braves/Rays -Braves historically
Hockey: Lightning

Just judging from other MSU Boards:

NFL: Cowboys and Saints
NBA: Grizzlies
MLB: Braves
NHL: surprising amount of Nashville support. I like it but didn't think anybody else watched

It should always be a 70% + in state enrollment IMHO

NC has a law for state schools

Out of state enrollment can be no larger than 18%
And the cap applies only to the incoming freshman class, meaning transfer and exchange students are not included in the allotted 18 percent.

The Cardinals were the most southern team for around a century, so I suspect we have more Cardinals fans here then some realize.
