Aggies are divided along the lines you’d expect.

NFL | Cowboys, Texans
NBA | Mavs, Rockets, Spurs
MLB | Rangers, Astros

A&M

NFL: Cowboys or Texans
NBA: Rockets or Mavs or Spurs
MLB: Astros or Rangers
NHL: Stars

Plenty of professional teams in Texas, so people can take their pick. There is a fair bit of Dallas/Houston rivalry, but I'm a fan of ALL the professional teams from Texas.

Having only lived in DFW area for the past few years, I can admit I'm a bandwagon Dallas Stars fan this year. The NHL Playoffs are very fun to attend.

The concept that the Texans have an actual fanbase still surprises me. I assumed it was mostly kids under 20 and hispanics that moved in and weren't already on the Cowboys bandwagon.

I don’t think the general public of Alabama care enough for there to be any cohesion. I don’t see any pro stuff outside of transplants. During my time as a student it seemed like

NFL: Eagles/Cowboys
NBA: N/A
MLB: Cubs
NHL: Preds/Blackhawks

This. The Hornet/Bobcats/Hornets and the Hurricanes might as well not even exist for SCers.

I'm a Braves man but have never really cared for the Panthers. I don't dislike them, I just get behind them.

Strangely I've gotten all aboard the disaster that is the Redskins train since moving up to DC. Not sure why, I don't care about the super popular Caps, no one cares about the Wizards at the moment, I'm a Braves fans so no Nats, but for some reason I'm all in on the Redskins.

For instance, LSU folks who live in Louisiana I assume would be
- NFL : Saints/Cowboys
- NBA : Pelicans/don't care
- MLB : Astros?
- NHL : N/A
- MLS : N/A

NBA: Pels/dont care
MLB:Cubs/Braves/Stros/dont care
NHL:No consensus

I think it would be easy to be a fan of pro sports on Louisiana, because there are no options. The only professional teams are the Saints and the Pelicans and Tigers.

Oh...I’m with ya. I do not follow the NBA. I just see a lot of grizz fans on the Arkansas side of Memphis and the delta region in general.

The 50+ generation. And those were split. My dad grew up in Huntsville listening to Red's games as a kid.

The generation of 30-50 year olds grew up with the Braves listening to Skip and watching every night on TBS.

Yeah that’s what I’m getting at. I remember going to watch a Titans game at a bar with some friends just expecting no one to care. Then we get surrounded by this group of like 25 from Mass who were hardcore Patriots fans.

I was like where the hell am I. Naturally the Titans got rocked.

I always thought the Grizzlies did a poor job of reaching out to people living on the other side of the bridge. I mean Little Rock is 2 hours from Memphis and I've never even seen a billboard or heard a radio advertisement for the Grizzlies.
