Quote: *** Sark & Arch with 15 Opening Acts I saw this group get together in 2024 when Texas and OU entered the SEC. Texas casts a shadow folks. They just do. Drinkwitz is funny, Kirby's got the rings, Lane is always gonna be Lane, and Venebles and Elko talk like old ball coaches. But none of them are Sark. He's different. You can feel it by comparison. Kalen DeBoer is really good, maybe the only one that gets close to Sark's cache. But not quite there. Maybe the SEC decided to admit what the big deal is, and everything else is just the warm up acts. Texas is the only SEC team that is playing a 10-win team from 2025 in non-con. They are the only team in the conference finishing with 3 out of 4 on the road. They are only the third team to travel to LSU, TN, and A&M in the same season. If you let them go on Tuesday or Wednesday, the rest of Media Days kinda doesn't matter. I think the SEC learned that in 2024. Texas went on day 3. Day 4 was a wasteland. Everybody saw the big act and could choose to go home. Sark, Texas, and you fans need to take this for the compliment that it is. This is not how Saban, Kirby, Spurrier, Kiffin, Jimbo, Leach, and any others you could mention were treated. They are great. They are interesting. They are good copy. They are not Sark repping Texas. Oh...and like last year, he's bringing Arch. Just try and put that on stage in slot 4 or 5 and see what happens to the rest of your week.

There are currently 3 coaches in the SEC with better records since Sark took the Texas job in 2021, two of which were done completely in the SEC. So far, the biggest footnote in his career is that he's the only coach at USC to be fired faster than Lane Kiffin was.

Sark is overrated in my opinion. Don’t understand the fascination with him. He’s had some decent winning seasons but really hasn’t accomplished much otherwise.
Also, Lane doesn’t talk like an old ball coach. He’s a little less gruff…at least in his interviews.
Elko is okay but he seems to rely entirely on his offensive staff, which is normal I guess. And a refreshing difference after Jimbo’s stubborn arse.

Was this a quote from a psychiatric patient in a locked-down facility? Or from a politician running for office in Texas? (I know, not mutually exclusive.)

The view from inside the longhorn bubble. The 40 acre echo chamber.

UTranny was 9th in SEC offense last year with a HC some people consider to be an offensive savant
Hell, Texas fans were booing the team in Week 3.
Luckily for Sark, after a 5-7 and 8-5 finish in his first 2 seasons in Austin, the transfer portal and uncapped pay-for-play came at just the right time.

You don't understand. On field results are nice but not neccesary. PR/hype is essential and non-negotiable.

Likely an Aggie trolling pretending to be a Texas fan

Well some you follow Texas closer than you do your own team. Maybe that has something to do with it. Media is click driven so… do the math

quote:Yep. It's a smart play because the media knows all they have to do is mention Texas and the Aggies will not only click on it, they'll repost it for them too.
