You should have taken notice when all the Ole Miss fans cheered when you hired him.

We’re paying our staff more than Aggie is just to have half the number of wins they do. We’re paying Shame over twice as much as Vandy’s HC just to get bent over by them at home.

Super interesting, but it really should add a column for payments being made to former coaches. Some schools, like Auburn, make those as part of their model. It would probably change the rankings.

Florida and Auburn lag way behind in "Big 6" team salaries
For Napier, Florida went really big on the support staff which isn’t included in these numbers. They probably have twice as many as they had under Mullen. I think the AD wanted a big support staff and that’s why they went G5 coach hunting.
The assistant pool in Napier’s contract was to be 7.5 million. That was right behind 7.8 for Alabama and in front of 7.2 for Georgia at the time. The fact USA Today calls it 6.5 now is likely indicative that Napier shifted even more to the support staff.
Napier has done nothing to warrant a renewal or new terms on his contract, that’s why Florida is at 2021 level spending while salaries have spiked again.

I didn't realize Auburn was so poor. They are getting what they pay for, honestly.
he’s the 36th highest salaried HC in CFB, and he’s still overpaid IYAM
its not because AU is poor, its because our admins are complete idiots

It’s interesting the highest paid staffs are osu, uga, Clem, lsu, bama, Tex, Mich basically everyone who has won a title in the last ten years and Texas. The question is are the schools winning titles bc they’re paying for the best coaches or are they having to pay top dollar to coaches bc they won a title.

I won’t pretend to know anything about what it takes to manage the UGA football program. From Kirby all the way down to the front desk administrative assistant, they all know more than me.
And maybe I’m being demanding and ungrateful. But damn, score some points. Pressure the other team’s QB.

Sark got a nice pay bump for making the playoffs the last 2 years. I'm sure that Alabama giving him a call played a role as well. He was only making $6.5 million or something like that before the bump.

It's not always State. We tried telling Florida with Mullen and Strick, tried telling Auburn about Cohen.
Get used to it.

Has Stoops gotten a contract extension since the A&M debacle?
No, the last big contract extension was 2022. Anything he's gotten since then is as a result of the language of the contract extension he signed then.
Mark Story's article in the LHL from two weeks ago outlines how it went down. The extension happened the year after he went for 10 wins and won the Citrus Bowl against Iowa.

UF shouldn't surprise anyone. Both Arky and Ole Miss spend more on football annually than we do.

Eh, if anything we got Woodwarded. He set the bar with the first Jimbo contract, and then his connection to Jimbo is what brought around the extension.

Jeff Lebby needs to let me hold a couple hundred grand.

Lebby is the bargain in that bunch. He is fricked playing where he is at and still has that team looking much better than the record.
