It’s actually not weak at all if any witnesses corroborate the bullying after. Whether the initial incident happened or was faked won’t matter if it was used to bully this kid. They are going to fine the shite out of Webb and his family. He better hope he makes it to the league.

Since this is allegedly because of something he did or possibly just claimed he did, then he definitely could be found guilty and fined. Bullying laws punish the bullying itself, not necessarily the act that caused it. Even if he didn’t do what he said, if he and the football team started in on this kid and that spread, then he could be held liable for it if they have some witnesses that trace it back to him. The key is, they would need multiple people to go on record and trace this back to Webb specifically. If they have those witnesses, then he’s in trouble.
Even if it got settled, he would owe legal fees and some damages.

I would've beat that guys arse to a pulp had this happened to me. If I couldn't beat his arse....something like this would drive me to murder someone.
