Why would the defending national champs on the verge of a repeat have any incentive to travel to a middling East team?

The only melt is from the cowardly Florida fans that keep a moving goalpost of excuses for why they are too scared to play UCF home and home.

And this is why UCF will never make a playoff even if they win another 25 in a row.

Go on the road and earn it. If you can’t get into a real conference then that’s your only path.

Keep pretending you aren't scared you'd lose and that's why you are happy your AD offered a BS deal.

This is one of the oddest melts I’ve seen on here. You’re so adamant about this, but you’ve failed to provide one single argument for why a major would schedule this highly disingenuous minor in a home/home.

Those were 2 for 1’s dumbass. Exactly what he is offering UCF now.

Hmmmm... that sounds like bullshite-because it is.

The first renewal of the State-USM series in 2014-2015 was a home-and-home.

In 2019 there is a guarantee game in Starkville.

In 2023-2024, it's home and home, again.

As for LA Tech, State never made the trip to Ruston in 9 prior meetings before 2008. State’s first time playing in Ruston was in 2008, and since then, there have been 3 games in Starkville (2011, 2015 and 2018) and 2 in Ruston (2008 and 2017). LA Tech is not on the schedule for 2019, so as it sits, the last series State had with LA Tech was a home and home.

This is stuff that is easily searchable on the internet. There is no need for you to lie to try to make Miss. State look better than it is.

I think Power 5 commissioners need to offer UCF a package deal . First 4 games of the year against power 5 teams at neutral sites . They would be lucky to finish the year 9-3 playing 4 good power 5 teams straight. They would get to see what it feels like to play in a power 5 conference. After those 4 games they would be wore down enough to loss a few conference games .

Florida, (and Georgia,, USC, and UK) already have a home and home with OOC teams. It makes it tough to do it with anybody else. Florida also has a neutral site game every year. Got to take care of the home schedule first. Florida is not out of line in their demands.

What is Florida so scared of?

It's less about fear and more about "what's in it for me?"

Sure, UCF is on the rise but they play in a very weak conference. We're doing them a FAVOR by scheduling a single 1 and 1.

1. They get a big infusion of money.

2. We strengthen their OOC, even if it's unfair they won't for us.

3. They get a lot of exposure.

What do we get? To say that we beat some mid-major? We're holding all of the risk and getting none of the reward. It's not strategically or financially sound for Florida to take this game on the terms that they want.

Simply repeating facts that y'all want pretend don't exist is not melting.

Yet teams like Stanford, Texas, Miami etc have no problem doing home and homes w/UCF. Why is Florida scared to do it?

You better worry about losing, in the Fiesta Bowl. Coach O and his hand picked awful O. C. are fully capable of fricking this up.

Pay no attention to him. He admitted he's still mad about losing in 09 and is trolling (as usual).

Like I said, you still haven’t provided a single argument on why a major would schedule this as a home/home. Instead you mindlessly make the same post over and over screaming that othe schools have done this. Well, I can provide you ample examples of things that have happened that make no sense- wouldn’t prove anything. Offer one argument on WHY a school would EVER treat an inferior as an equal, and we can address that. Until you do this, everyone will see you as the intellectually-deficient strawman that you are. But it’s still all good brother- cheers.

This bitch!!! UCF is a mid major. The 2 for 1 deal was more than generous. Florida is better than that.
