No one in this thread is discussing what happened in the 80s. We're talking about today, or at least the last 20 years.

Why is Ohio State beating up on Penn State bad when Alabama beat up the SEC?

Now you can add Oregon and USC if Riley can ever figure things out. Wisconsin's future looks bright too.

How did the bowl game go for OSU?

In 2024, LSU plays SoCal in Vegas and UCLA in BR plus 8 SEC games. That's enough t prove if we are "any good."

frick Ohio State. Not sure why you are complaining. They will be in the playoffs every year. 12 teams isn’t going to matter to Ohio state, Michigan, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Texas, and probably Oregon, and Notre Dame. And maybe Auburn (they are manic depressive)

Michigan last year played 9 BIG games + 3 OOC from G5. Pretty much all SEC teams played in addition to 8 SEC games, 1 from another P5 league. Florida last year played 2 from the P5 (Utah and FSU). LSU in 2024 will play 8 SEC games + 2 P5 (USC and UCLA).

Don't bring facts into this sad troll attempt.

Let me add… I hate the shite that this sport has become. I guess it comes with age, and changes of lifestyles, and priorities. I’ll always remember the the fall tailgates in Athens. And had some great times up in Knoxville with Tennessee fans. I just can’t muster up the passion for it that I used to have. I’m lucky to have seen the back to back. One in person in Indianapolis, and almost froze my dick off. Never thought I’d see it. I don’t post much anymore, but I’ll just say it’s sad the way things have taken a turn in college football. I’ll watch on Saturdays, because that’s what I do. I used to be hard core. I like the schedule this year. Good games hopefully. And that will be the case probably going forward. Not sure what I’m trying to say actually…..except. I guess, goodbye CFB as we once knew it.

Go ahead and tell me how Arkansas and Kentucky historically stack up against Nebraska you fricking moron.

Historically, like since any of the players on the team were born? I'd say pretty comparable, with Kentucky being definitively better the last decade.

Oh, and I see you mentioned Florida too, which is fair enough. I guess they really haven't beaten anyone worth a shite in a meaningful game this century
Just some sorry-arse overrated team in 2006, blew their doors off 41-14

It would be unfair if the B1G played 9 league games while the SEC played 8 plus the usual 4 G5 teams. That might allow the CFP committee to overestimate the strength of SEC teams.

Games vs G5 schools are boring and hurt your overall value.

you're on the SEC rant, because, you know we're the tip of the sword........otherwise, we'd all be on the BIG?rant trying to sell our theories to you, yet here we are. i think the SEC will do what it wants, when it wants, when it satisfies the SEC, not some northern know-it-alls'.

The fact remains that Big Ten football is shite. Arkansas would be the 3rd or 4th best team in your conference.
I doubt Arkansas would win a game in the B1G. They might beat one of the Western teams if they were having an off day but that is about it.

You guys said that in the 1860s and how did that work out for you?

Petitti is only trying to help both leagues to get better. Sankey should listen because it's obvious he does not know what he is doing. He especially lacks experience when it comes to TV and negotiating a fair price.

Nobody gives us a frick about what was happening when I was in high school.

Nebraska in the last decade:

2014 - Holiday Bowl (L)
2015 - Foster Farms Bowl (W)
2016 - Music City Bowl (L)

0 - 10 win seasons
7 seasons without bowl eligibility

Kentucky in the last decade:

2023 - Gator Bowl (L)
2022 - Music City Bowl (L)
2021 - Citrus Bowl (W)
2020 - Gator Bowl (W)
2019 - Belk Bowl (W)
2018 - Citrus Bowl (W)
2017 - Music City Bowl (L)
2016 - Tax Slayer Bowl (L)

2 - 10 win seasons
2 seasons without bowl eligibility

You guys love to nitpick the years you use for your terrible takes. It is always the last 8 years and a month or the start of this century. Convenient how it is always a date to fit your narrative.

Nebraska has achieved more than everyone in the SEC not named Alabama.

Ohio State plays a non con of Akron Western Michigan and Marshall and plays Northwestern Purdue and Indiana in November. Big 10 has 4 programs worth a shite. 70% of your conference would get demolished by Kentucky.

SEC teams aren't allowed to play 4 G5 teams so there is that. Plus the SEC is smart to schedule one of them later in the year. The season is long and about to get longer so having the "mini-bye" is smart business.

What wasn't smart is having them all on the same weekend but now they are spread out over about three weekends in November.
