So Jerry has three SEC teams, three Big 10 teams, 1 ACC, and FOUR Big 12 teams. Even if the Big 12 deserved four teams, which they don't or won't, there is no way they get four.

Iowa State as the 8th seed? Where does this come from? I am doing my best not tp be wearing my SEC homer glasses but this is just dumb.

The melt would be epic though.

For those who do not trust the link:

SEC- UGA, Bama, Texas
Big 10 - Oh State, Oregon, Penn State
ACC - Miami
Big 12 - Utah, Oklahoma St, Iowa State, Kansas State

G5 - Boise State
Man, kids under 12 have three stiff drinks at LSU games!

Also, one thing I feel very strongly about is SEC fanbases' ability to get booze into the football games. If you think no woman has had brown liquor up her va-ja-ja you need to stick with the American conference (I guess ACC now)
Ironically, if UGA did tie the regular season consecutive win record this year the game that would break the record would be UGA at Texas.

I think OU fans would say screw the record let Texas lose but maybe I am wrong.

This is what I'm interested in seeing. If teams get punished for playing the extra game and losing. If a team is 5th going into a title game, do they risk falling to 9th or beyond if they lose.

I think they could.

Which brings up another interesting scenario.

What looks better to a recruit?

"We were in the SECCG"

or

"We were in the playoffs"

I think it is a moot point. Back when there were divisions you could possibly see a three loss team making a championship game, but now with just the top two I see no scenario the runner up in the SEC or Big 10 not getting in.

It may affect seeding some, but they will be in.

This board does not disappoint, strong opening comment.
When I saw him running I thought is that Emery? I thought no way he is still there but with redshirt/covid there you have it. Glad he seems healthy.

What am I missing? How is Texas not more than a 10 point favorite?

Michigan has won 22 in a row at home
Michigan is defending NC

The line isn’t about the final score.. it’s an attempt to make it so equal money comes in on both sides..

We are good. I just don’t have any idea what will happen at The Big House.. never played there.

Which Ewers will show up? He usually plays good in big games, but he also gets the yips if you hit him too much. That Michigan D is still really good and they made Penix look pedestrian.

I think I would take the underdog either way if betting it. Either team could win imo.

Oh, and Michigan is going to test our run defense. Sweat and Murphy were huge for us last year.. but they are gone. Yeah we have some guys.. but not as good as those 2.. but the rest of the defense looks a lot better.

Both teams lost 11+ to the draft.

It is not free money.

Thanx for splaining gambling to us poors!
I think most people don't see Florida as a legitimate threat to get to Atlanta, but Mizzou could be with their schedule. (No offense Florida fans)
At least it is a short flight home for fsu.
Should have waited to take the timeout, less time runs off after getting the first down than after 1st, 2nd, or 3rd down.

Huh? Alabama usually plays one of the toughest schedules in college football. Georgia is the one that plays in the east and magically avoided west teams over the years.

I'm not sure our SEC schedule is all that more difficult yet. It could end up being extremely difficult, but where we got difficult teams, we also got some easy teams like Vandy and South Carolina that we don't normally get. You know, one of the many easy wins Georgia was playing every year.

Missouri is a question mark. Currently ranked, but also the kind of team that can be great one year, not so great the next year.

Oklahoma is another question mark. Historically good, but still been rebuilding. Currently ranked, but their name will get them some leeway in that area. Could be good, could be not so good.

Tennessee is ranked 15th, but we already played them every year. LSU is ranked 12th, but we already played them every year. Auburn isn't ranked, but if they end up ranked we already played them every year.

Don't have to play Ole Miss, or A&M as we normally would.

So the only addition is Georgia really, who hasn't won a regular season game against Alabama since a 3 point win in 2007 when Alabama went 7-6.

This schedule isn't even really more difficult than normal unless some SEC opponents climb the ranks. It would have been much more difficult if we were playing in the west and adding Georgia from the east as well.

Bama doesn't play a home and home out of conference for a decade, loses one of the 2 games, coach leaves due to all the advantages he had for 15 years being negated, but acts like their schedules were so tough. Even Lincoln Riley, the king of running away from a challenge, called you out.

Mizzou fans seem all right to me.

I really thought Texas fans would be the biggest assholes, and while they are leading, Oklahoma fans are trying to make it a contest.

When will the South regularly have snowy, icy winters?

Of course that’s true, but I think southerners would be natural hockey fans if they watched it regularly.

Hockey is basically soccer if a few guys got drunk and tried to make it better.

“Let’s shrink the playing area, put it on ice, give them sticks, and make fighting not a big deal”

Okay, when you put it that way
Charlotte Sooner acts like a Texas fan. I imagine real Oklahoma fans can't stand his dumb takes.

A real Oklahoma fan would never coattail ride a Mizzou team winning the east back when the four best teams were in the west.

Hell a real Oklahoma fan would not coattail ride Mizzou period (apologies to the cool Mizzou fans on here)

I thought Texas fans were the obnoxious ones, I guess it is both.
