Isn’t their QB a true freshman? That offense is very impressive.

I'm pretty sure hes a redshirt freshman.... he played last year. I believe he was a punter last year and they ran out of QBs. So they had to play him and he has been tearing it up ever since

ETA - I looked it up, he played safety/punter in High School and walked on at UNT as a QB (he was 5th string). Worked his way up to backup and the starter ended up hitting the transfer portal last December, so he ended up starting the bowl game.

Lol well I'm agreeing with your suggestion brah. Was just saying that there are shootings all over Dallas recently

True. As much as I hate to agree with Mango, Cosm is a 30-40 min drive from AAC. It's in The Colonies not Dallas

There has been a few shootings/murders in Deep Ellum this year. There are definitely other areas of DFW I'd spend my time in.

Someone was also shot right by American Airlines Center last week. Deep Ellum is fine if it is still light outside. You def want to get out of there once it gets dark though.

OP if you are going to Terry Blacks, Backyard is a good spot that is close. Or as one of the other posters said, you can go to Happiest Hour by American Airlines Center. Hero (right by the entrance to AAC) also has a ton of TVs to watch games. Usually dead though unless there is a Mavs/Stars game.

Preferably in the deep Ellum area near Terry Blacks. Getting brunch there around 10 on Saturday then plan to hunker down for CFB for a few hours. Storing our luggage nearby so preferably we could walk from TBs to wherever we wanna watch sports.

Depends on your vibe but Backyard is a good bar to watch college football in Deep Ellum. Has a ton of TVs and Big Screen projectors. Decent food
If our offense doesn't drastically improve this week, then we are going to get blown out by Vandy

I am a SEC guy and an old umpire - the home plate umpire should never work another college game, if you are that thin skinned (especially in a championship series) you need to be buying a ticket to see the game

It was a very quick toss and shouldn't have happened that early... but that coach is also an idiot for continuing to argue after a couple of warnings. The umps warned Jay Johnson yesterday when he was arguing about the HBP and he immediately went back to the bench so he wouldn't get tossed

Do I understand the coach is gone for the series?

Yes hes gone for the series

Didn’t hear it. What did they say?

Coach was bitchin, got a warning and then continued to bitch the next batter so he got thrown out. 2 game suspension because he came out of the dugout to continue arguing

San Marcos River is my favorite honestly. It does get pretty rowdy so it depends on your vibes. Guadalupe in NB is pretty good too. Heads up though, both rivers are significantly lower than normal so float times will be longer and there will be spots where you have to get out of your tube to walk
