We have scheduled big matchups as well. But this isn’t the 4 team playoff anymore. Take a look at the top 12 OOC it’s a joke.

A&M is probably on the edge of not making the playoffs without that win at Notre Dame.

I don't even think Texas should go but this is retarded. If A&M plays and beats LA Tech instead of ND and they're in the exact same spot as today.

I don't know. I am kind of excited about a potential 3 game series vs UGA.

I am sure you were in the same pulpit for Auburn in 2017.

Even if this was true, you’re not gonna find a shred of sympathy on this board for that.

An Alabama win guarantees both of them into the playoffs.
Alabama not playing combined with a BYU win over Texas Tech takes Alabama out of the playoffs.

I think playoffs should be changed to Power 4 plays a 4 team conference championship. Those 4 Champions play in a National 4 team playoff.

Yes, the champions would have to play 16 games, but some already do. And yes it would leave out the G5, but they could have their own playoff. But I think this solves the, “what if we lose the Conference Championship talk” and make winning the conference more meaningful.

Should Alabama lose are they in or out? If out, they should seriously consider cancelling the SECCG. It is unfair to Alabama to be forced to risk a playoff slot playing a 13th game while everyone else sits home with nothing on the line.

Why should Georgia risk a bye? Both teams have a lot at risk and are beat to hell.
Assuming that Bama goes into Atlanta as the 10 seed, and then loses to UGA, whether or not Bama makes the field depends upon who wins the Big XII championship. If Tech wins, Bama is in as 10 will be the cut line for at large teams, and the committee will not drop them for losing the championship game. If, however, BYU wins, the committee could leave Bama at 10, BYU at 11, and BYU would go (with the auto bid) while Bama would stay home because, now, the cut line woudl be 9.

You see this all the time in basketball and baseball--bid stealers winning conference tournaments against the favorite and knocking bubble teams out of the field. Bama is squarely on the bubble with a loss.

I can't speak for everyone. But for me and my friends, we don't really care if you make it or not.

Notre Dame started out really slow even if it was two quality teams.

You guys took the first week off and had everyone believing Norvell had really turned things around.

Texas struggled for two months.

Vandy, nice story, but best win is Tenner who beat no one.

In? Congrats. Out? Don't care. You screwed yourself by sleeping through Tallahassee.

Some people are going to make millions of dollars because the game is played. It’s never going away and no one actually gives a shite about pride, winning, or fairness.

Bama should not have lost to FSU. Then they would be in, win or lose. No one to blame but ourselves.
