re: About 40% of all corn production in US is devoted to ethanol
Posted by Purple Spoon on 6/26/26 at 2:26 pm to CitizenK
The kicker for me is that it is an inferior product. The ethanol folks claim better efficiency and some fringe benefits to ethanol gas on the highway such as exhaust standards but it has never been my experience that it run better or that it is better for your vehicle in any way over non ethanol. And its no secret that it is a disaster for small engines and outboards.
Its cheaper due to government subsidies to produce it. So the government is subsidizing an inferior product for reasons that are proving to be less and less meaningful.

Van Helsing. Hugh Jackman version
Love it. And it’s a really good warewolf interpretation.
And hot pre-crazy mode Kate B.

Depends. Sometimes “Critics” seem to fall all over themselves for movies directed at “modern audiences “ which spells bad new for folks just looking for a little escapism. When a movie comes out and the critics score is in the 80s-90s I get nervous

I didn’t read this. I don’t care to but what I envision is the sad, cold reality creeping in to aging liberals that years dedicated to crowing about their enlightenment and justifying their alienation of family and traditional values has left them lonly, isolated and facing the realization that when the twilight of their days comes knocking, and they are yearning for a warm hand to hold theirs, no one will be there and their mark on this earth will pass without a tear shed.

If past years are any indication, by mid October I will be begging for rain so the 500.00 worth of food plot seed doesn’t go to waste.

Funny. I thought that one was good. But that was old school 2d animation so the reimagined CGI was a huge visual difference.

I actually think these are the last gasps of the current DNC before it moves dramatically moderate. These radicals catching seats in state elections is not the trend. These local candidates are providing validation for liberals by essentially saying “you are right, AND MORE”. Yay!!!

I don’t understand remaking an animated film and using 95% CGI.
It’s basically just another animated film.
I mean I know why but artistically it’s just funny.

It's 1400 miles from NYC to New Orleans.
That's the same distance from Italy to Iraq.
The ideologies in this country are becoming too far apart to be connected by a common government. Whether it will snap or come back around is the question.
Unfortunately, those who want socialism may have to experience it firsthand to realize that they don't really want it. It's a cycle that's been repeated many times in history.
But hey, it will be different this time, right guys?
It can largely be boiled down to one thing. A culture that refuses the concept of personal responsibility and accountability.

I didn't serve in Iraq either, but from previous conversations its the little nuances that make it frustrating. Its kinda like when I see a deer hunting scene in a movie or a show set in South Louisiana.
