List is shite. Auburn stole Glory Glory to Ole Georgia.

Auburn did steal it from us (along with the Univ of Colorado); however, "Glory, glory" isn't UGA's fight song -- it's our Spirit song.

"Hail To Georgia Down in Dixie" is Georgia's fight song.

Alabama's fight song is forgettable

And yet is recognized by most everyone in college sports.

Arkansas' is.....not.

Hail Dear Ole State was written by Mutt Peavey in 1938 as State’s fight song. It was a contest between students at State that he won. He was the father of Hartley Peavey who only went on to create a company that still bears his name (Peavey Electronics). I suspect everyone of you has heard Peavey speakers in a public facility or seen someone playing a Peavey guitar.
Mr. Peavey (the Dad) had a music store in Meridian for many years.

In truth most of the fight songs are good and each universities’s are easily recognizable by their own fan base’s.

Rocky Top trumps them all.

It truly is a great classic Bluegrass song. It is NOT Tennessee's "fight song" though, correct?

Rocky Top, ND's fight song and USC (Trojans) fight song are basically the only fight songs random casuals know. The others (including our own Down the Field are either derivative of ND's fight song or too similar to each other/forgettable.)

Rocky Top is not Tennessee's fight song.

I think it is safe to say the most recognizable fight song is FSU’s.

I think you are confusing their fight song with the War Chant.

I would say the War Chant makes for a helluva “fight song”

I don't know about "official" fight songs, but there are a few schools I instantly recognize just from sound...

The following list, I can hum without thinking about it:
Tennessee
Michigan
USC
Notre Dame
Oklahoma
Air Force
Navy
LSU (that MIGHT be because of my fandom, but I really haven't heard anyone else with a similar set of tunes. Clemson might have Tiger Rag, but it sounds completely different).
Florida State, with the War Chant, goes up there too; otherwise not memorable

Next tier would be stuff I know when I hear it;
Alabama
Florida
Arkansas (only with calling the hogs)
A&M
Auburn
Miss State
Probably UCLA

To me, Ole Miss and UGA just have generic Southern tunes, South Carolina does Sandstorm, and I can't think of anyone else. I'd probably recognize Miami, but can't recall it right now at all. Same goes for Ohio State and Nebraska, Texas maybe. Crazy that Army, unlike the other 2 academies, doesn't have something that sticks out.
