Field position absolutely impacts the game.
Starting at the 50 vs the 25? Sure. Starting at the 35 vs the 25 (likely further up if the punter can't reliably make the endzone)? Not nearly as much.

There is no men's soccer team at Vandy, they needed a kicker at the last second due to covid quarantine, the chick plays rugby
Over/under 10 players on the Vandy team right now that could kick it farther than her and be just as accurate on field goal/PAT attempts?

it was a weird thing done out of necessity and because she didn't have the leg to kick it properly they squibbed it
They had a punter and I'm sure about 40 other guys on the roster who could have done better.
If a woman is actually good enough on merit to make a football team, then that's fine and worth celebrating.
This girl was nowhere near good enough and was only on the field as a SJW stunt.

Who cares?
I promise the "librals" aren't coming for your football.

My two cents...
I am all for a woman playing if she has the skill to do so and if she’s treated the same as a man, meaning she can be hit, pancake blocked, etc..
If a woman can play and take the hits with big time
College football, with the inherent strength and hormone disadvantage, more power to her.
The big problem is what happens when a transgender wants to play? It becomes more about theatrics than the game at that point.

Lol
Talk to a coach sometime about how many yards they are short on a drive to getting points. 10 yards is a huge deal.
That particular drive resulted in a field goal. Ask a kicker if he would want to give up 10 yards on every attempt.

I don't see how that defends her in any way. But you are not wrong about Vandy not doing anything productive.
That if you are going to rate players based on how productive they were, all of Vandy’s team needs to go, genitalia irrelevant

I guess this kick warranted Sarah being named Special Teams player of the week.

Do we need any other evidence that this is nothing but a stunt?

Is ANYONE going to get the facts correct regarding Katie Hnida?
She never played a down for Colorado.
She played for New Mexico and kicked an EXTRA POINT to give them their 70th point that game after getting her two previous attempts that season blocked.

o Fuller made history Saturday, becoming the first woman ever to officially take the field during a football game in a and major conference football game.
o Served as the Commodores' primary kicker during the team's contest at Missouri.
o She took the opening kickoff of the second half against the Tigers, as her perfectly-executed kick sailed 30 yards and was downed at the Missouri 35-yard line. She joined the likes of New Mexico's Katie Hnida and Kent State's April Goss as the only females to appear in a Football Bowl Subdivision contest.
You are fricking kidding me.

See it's shite like this right here. Is there any woman out there who actually feels like this is equality. They are treating an SEC champion goalkeeper like she's the towel manager with down syndrome who got put in for one play. I'd be embarrassed by all this shite if I was Sarah

Isn't there something like.....
Power 5 Pie Baking or
SEC Ball Gown Sewing in which this girl can compete?
An SEC football field is no place for a woman.

I have no problem with her being out there. But she kicked it like she making a pass in soccer, no follow through at all. And they showed clips of her pregame practicing field goals within the 10 yard line. I can hit those. There was no indication that she’d be a serviceable PK in CFB. And I’m a Bama fan...I know a thing or two about unserviceable PKs.
That leads me to believe that it was a stunt.

Earlier on SiriusXM, Chris Childers was shaming everybody who disagreed with the female kicker being out there. He called people “misogynistic turds” if you have a problem with it. He even said that if he could buy a Vandy jersey with the girl’s number on it that he would get one.

Good for her. Whoever gets inspiration out of it, awesome. Good for them. But let's not pretend she was kicking the winning field goal in the national championship game or anything. It was a ceremonial kick at best. Kind of like when Nebraska let the kid run for a touchdown in the Spring game some years ago.

The soy boy sportswriters/commentators are the funniest part of the whole stunt. So desperate to wax poetic about their perceived historic "Jackie Robinson moment" that they can't even see how stupidly woke they are.
