I could see just about any outcome in this game.

The 85 Bears couldn’t hold this team to 27 points. I’m not saying that LSU wins, because our defense can’t stop bad offenses even when they’re healthy, but I’d love a hit of what you’re smoking thinking Bama is going to stifle this defense.

Both teams will score at least 35.

LSU's Power 5 average is 39 pts. If you think LSU can score its average against Alabama's defense, then pick LSU to win.

I've got Alabama shaving at least 10 to 12 points off your average and improving its Power 5 average against a shockingly bad LSU defense by at least 8 points.

Alabama solidly has the upper hand in this game.

I think a lot of people just watched the FSU game and never watched LSU again this season.

The FSU game LSU was out of sync and it showed. the offense has been rolling and the defense has gotten better since the ole miss game. that was ridiculous on many levels.

One thing that I am confident in is that our defense will be the best defense LSU has played since week 1 by a significant margin. I would be much less confident if we had Golding calling plays. Not a lot of holes in this D.

And the problem with our offense is putting together 2 good halves instead of 1. This LSU D gives them a great opportunity to fix that this weekend.

Logan Diggs didn't play and Jayden Daniels refused to throw downfield, the FSU isn't a very good indicator of the LSU offense.

This is a Bama team that isn't star studded, doesn't wow you with personnel, no unbelievable plays but just wins. Jay Barker stunk at QB, no WR's, unknown D line.
Reminds me so much of 1991. Got blown the frick out at Florida in like the 2nd game of the season and many thought they would win 5 games, if that. They just kept winning all the way to 11-1 and no. 5 in the final poll which set the table for that 92 national title.

It will be an interesting game. Strength (LSU O) vs strength (Bama D) and weakness (LSU D) vs weakness (Bama O).

I feel confident LSU can score in the 30's, but also confident our D will allow Bama to score in the 30's. We are starting new DBs saturday on an already depleted backfield so it could get ugly.

My other concern is giving up a big play on ST. Our kicking game is solid, but PR/KR and coverage teams are awful.

I didn't think LSU would be competitive at all when we played them there 2 years ago. Turned out, LSU was all but assured of winning that game, if not for a wretched performance by Max Johnson that night.

No worries, we run away from punts like they are cruise missiles.

I hope we lean heavily on the run game in this one and use Milroe primarily for his deep ball threat. Our rushing attack has been hit or miss but really seemed to find its stride in the second half of the Tennessee game. If we can be consistently effective running the ball, we should win.

The good news for you is that everyone runs on this defense.

They're actually worse vs the run than the pass.

Could see it going either way. That’s why I’m just staying quiet this week and not even talking trash. Both teams have a lot of talent and have the capability of winning. Just going to watch and see how it shakes out.

A lot of people also watched the LSU/Arkansas game. LSU looked just slightly less meh than Arkansas. A lot of people also watched the Ole Miss and Missouri games. The LSU offense was explosive, but wow at that defense. I think a lot of LSU fans are putting too much stock in their two most recent games against Auburn and Army.

Totally asinine comment. Where do people come up with this stuff?

You're speaking on two different strata when relating pro football to college football. There was a time, before about 1976 whereby there was an annual game, played on Chicago's Soldier Field, between the previous year's Super Bowl champion and the college All-stars from the same year, the very best colleges had to offer. As you might expect, the professionals always won that game, often in blowout fashion.

As for the best football team from 1985, they would probably struggle in they were in top form vs today's football players, simply because the athletes of our time are simply bigger, faster and stronger.

I get the LSU issues on D, and I admittedly have not been able to watch any tiger games so far. I have watched Bama and if things hold true to form...any SEC D can stop middle runs on first down...and as SoG has said..Milroe can overthrow 8 yd routes and it doesn't matter how bad the def is when that's happening. So I'm still expecting to be asking the TV " LSU D is on par with MTSU...why can't Bama convert 3rd and 2 "

Alabama played like a dysfunctional junior high team in the second half of the Arkansas game. If Alabama plays like that against LSU they will lose.
